Listening to this lets me know that Jayz stole this mans flow. I know jigga a thief. Is that a thing? Did they beef? Im about to do some research.
@kentalks2818
@kentalks2818 5 ай бұрын
You know how stupid you sound? You know but you have to go do research? You obviously don’t know jack. Jay and L never had beef, were always friends, and played off of each other just like Jay and Biggie. L was going to sign to Roc-A-Fella when he was murdered. L was one of the greatest but he wasn’t on Jay’s level as an artist or businessman. If he was he would’ve been bigger than Jay by time he passed. Truth is L’s first album was lackluster and it hurt his rise. He had to go underground and rock the mixtape and local radio circuit for years before he bounced back. Plus DITC kept his name strong by always shouting him out wherever they went. If he had lived he would’ve got his just due with The Big Picture because it was by far way better than Lifestyles. Jay came out with a classic from the gate in 1996, one year after L’s debut, that changed the hip-hop landscape. Three albums later on vol. 3 in 1998 Jay was 5x platinum. In 1998 L dropped Ebonics which put him back in the number one contender position. But by then Jay-Z, Cam’ron, and Mase all were bigger and better artist than him. Huge difference.

@@OG_VERBZY’all people talk so much 💩 in these comments when you could easily type song credits into wiki. Joe wrote these lyrics. Joe is a prolific writer and spitter. He proved himself to those who matter in the competitive 90’s. What you think as a Johnny Come Lately means nothing.

@@kentalks2818He was a good rapper back then, and nobody can take that away from him. But every big Pun fan knows that the lyrics in this specific song weren't written by Fat Joe! We're talking about the style of lyricism, the way he puts words together and the multis, that's all Pun's style

@@JemyEddine Take that weak minded 💩 somewhere else. Now you’re the authority of every Pun fan, and you’re somehow in the know of what happened for this song. FoH. Was you in the room with them? @@Garrett1240 This was released around the time Joe was doing the Don Cartagena album. His ghostwriters at the time was Pun and Triple Seis (which Seis mentioned in an interview), so my guess based off that flow, it might have been Seis (or Pun lol). Joe can spit , but he isn’t articulate enough to come up with concepts like Pun and his camp could. Which is why he hires writers, because he got no pen game to follow up on it.

@@JemyEddine Yes. That’s including the Don Cartagena, Terror Squad album and some of Jealous Ones Envy. He even owes Flavor Unit rapper King Sun some cash for writing Joe’s first album Represent. Now I’m hearing about some kid named TA who helped wrote a couple of Joe’s albums from J.O.S.E. to Darkside. TA called him out on it and Joe disconnected his ties with him. Joe been using writers for years, I’m surprised no one ain’t notice that since he never a had flow or cadence of his own.
