Another great video for the BSO crew👍🇺🇸 I’ve been following along all winter watching the videos of the stinger spoon program for Browns and I must say from watching the videos using theses spoons in a “weight rod” set up on our maiden voyage this spring east of I bay put our biggest Browns in the boat. Thankyou! To the Saiff crew for providing great learning videos on how to properly and effectively catch these spring time beauties. I’m also a 3rd generation Lake Ontario Fisherman watching these videos also brings back tons of great memories fishing from my home port Sandy Creek in Hamlin with my Grandfather Captain Ed Patt in his penn yan “Brushcut” Charters. Thanks again Bill and I would love to learn and catch up with you some time on Lady O keep up the great work 👍🇺🇸

Thanks boys, glad you guys enjoyed this video from Day#1 2018'. It seems like the skinny water is alive with them this spring! Unlike some other years, these fish have not been on the shoreline feeding for very long. Most of these fish were "good sized" but trim in body structure! As things warm up a bit, we should get some better looking fish! 15lb. test Trilene Big Game line on the board rods is the standard set for me. I do run a 15lb. test Seagaur fluorocarbon leader (7ft). We affix the spoon with a #2 round nosed clip. This gives the spoons, the ability to maneuver freely on the end of the line.

Yes love the videos. Can’t wait for the next one. If you don’t mind me asking, how deep of water are you fishing when you say skinny water?

there's nothing like a sutton 71 spoon!

Most Lake "O" fishermen wouldn't even know what you are referring to. We have been at this for years and cut our teeth with a full compliment of Suttons. It was always a highlight to stop in Naples, NY at their general store and visit the spoon shop in the back! We also punished the Lakers with 35's and 44's. The West River in copper / silver is still one of my "All Time" favorite Brown Trout spoons!

My favorite set up is the Sutton # 71 hammered brass and silver with the flutterdevil # 3200 green and silver and lemon lime bent in an S curve stacked a few feet above the sutton.
