This was so bittersweet to watch for me. I've pretty much grown up on your content, from a teen til now (26) and have grown accustomed to your home and even decor items that you use regularly. I can get very sentimental when it comes to getting rid of things and really admire your optimistic point of view. As for George, I'm SO glad to see you're taking him and I look forward to seeing you all enjoy your new life in France!❤

I know what you mean, I'm as sentimental as they come! And leaving this kitchen where I launched my YT channel, where you all have found me for the last 12 years, is bittersweet! But I'm glad we bought the French house when we did, and you all could come along for that journey, because at least now you know where we are all going! It's like this whole community is moving too ha! But yes, we need to do a proper goodbye to this little sunny kitchen, that started it all! So maybe a final walk through of the house for a "send off" video should be next :)

My husband and I also bought a house in another country, after living in our home for 15+ years we bought it Egypt and have been living there during the winter. Our kids are much older than yours so it was a bit easier. Our stays have been growing longer every year and when you said that every year it’s getting harder to leave I totally felt the same way. We are currently still keeping both homes in the USA and Egypt, I wish I can get the courage to make the permanent move as you did, maybe soon. Good luck on this new chapter in your life. Oh, my goodness. All the emotions. I’m so glad you will get to visit your parents at least twice a year. That will be hard to leave them. I hope the new owners of your house will respect and keep up with that stunning garden and house of yours. I am so exciting and enjoy all that you are about to do. I’m so curious about how you’re moving it all there (& I Pressed with what little you’re holding onto). Can’t wait for the summer French vlogs. You’re an amazing person to do this for your husband and family just like your husband did so many years ago. What a wonderful adventure!

Aww thank you! Yes it's certainly a big adventure for us all! We're excited about this stage in life and personally for all the "personal growth" opportunities it will provide! They say big swings in life are for the young, but I actually think it's the big swings that KEEP us young!LOL!

Wish all the best for you and your family. PS: I live in NZ and I have a well settled life in here.13 yrs ago my husband and I moved here from Sri Lanka. I have watched most of your beautiful videos over these years...today when you said in ur mid 50s you both decided to go back, that is something we recently decided to do at our mid 50s. I have bit time for it though😊. But I'm happy to see someone make that sort of move in other half of their life. All the best again.

Tip on packing the hurricane globes... i usually roll towels (or clothes) and slide snugly into the globe, then wrap, bubble, etc for exterior padding. The interior packing helps. I also pack them 'standing up' with extra padding between, instead of laying them sideways in the box. Good luck!!!

When my husband passed away last Christmas I said I would sell our house and move to something smaller. I have been slowly trying to whittle down the contents of our home and my artwork and studio. This has not been easy. I would love to move to France but not alone and not knowing very little French. Now I am not sure where I will go but I am going to Nice in September. Bon chance on your move.

I am so excited for your family! The move will be alot of work- but worth it in the end!! I can't wait to see your videos in France! Will be interested to see how you go from vacation house to permanent house- and how you do storage!
