That’s very sad and hard on the mama sheep. She didn’t get the joy of bonding with her lambs. Best thing to do is aid her recovery and give her the best food possible. I’m just a viewer of the channel but I have been through this with my little rescue bunny when she lost her two kits.
@susanturcotte31763 ай бұрын
Sandi, I am soooo glad you made some decisions for the flock as a whole. It was very intelligent to realize that overall the sheep weigh more and the lambs per ewe ratios have elevated through the years! It never even crossed my mind until you talked about it on the last video and in your Instagram posts. I feel like an idiot. DUH Susan! 🥺🤔🫣 Anyway, it was also smart to spend a little more time watching the ewes during this unbelievable, record breaking heat wave! I'm sure the weather has impacted all of the flock. Anytime an animal overheats, the same signs and symptoms occur as with humans. The body has to burn more glucose for the elevated heart and breathing rates. And I'm a nurse! Of course they need more "sugar-type" grains to help with that. This new set of protocols are going to be awesome for you and flock outcomes! Applause for you! Blessings from Alabama ❤️
@charleswalters52842 ай бұрын
Yuck! grain. Not good for digestion and makes hoofs grow too fast so you have to trim them. Sheep are herbivores. Grain isn't nearly as nutrient dense and displaces better green foods, besides feeding the wrong gut microbes.
@charleswalters52842 ай бұрын
Why do nurses and hospitals like sugar so much?
@gghoulish-fun29 күн бұрын
