Game has changed where those type of power forwards aren’t needed. Giannis is the only exception and even he’s getting his 3-point shot worked on.

I think a lot of it is how fluid his hips are and his ability to move and jump in one motion. He has to be up there at the very least. AD too, though I think you see it more with lobs and the way he used to run in transition. He got some of that back this season (finally playing without pain / soreness helped), but it's gone away after his return, which is sad. Hopefully he can stay healthy again for a season because that run from about 2018-2020 was insane. LA was so fun to watch that bubble year.

They weren’t going to do crossovers like Hakeem was doing. CHris Webber even said that Hakeem was a big factor in the way that he wanted to play as a big, being able to have good handles and footwork while still being really good in the post. Hakeem broke the mold
