Our first story shows just how a very small dope case can get linked to the big fellas very easily, if anyone makes a mistake or is weak in some way.
“Is everything still everything?” A voice asks on a wiretapped phone call.
“Yeah, everything is still everything” the other voice answers back.
It is the evening of Sept. 14, 2004, in A T L Georgia, and a task force of local, state, and Federal agents have are listening to a crack dealer named Rafael "Smurf" Allison. Smurf and a guy called "Bowlegs" were not doing a very good job of having a coded conversation that sounded like a drug deal about to go down.
Despite confidently telling “Bowlegs” it was all good, Smurf hung up and dialed a number and asked the guy who answered the same question. "Is everything still everything?" And the guy answered just like Smurf Allison,
"Yeah, everything is still everything."
The investigators were part of the federal (for High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) program, which sets up shop in certain big cities and targets anyone they can get intelligence on, for major dope cases.
They followedSmurf as he left his neighborhood near Turner Field and drove to an apartment complex off Howell Mill Road.
And thanks to the wiretap on Smurf's phone, it was only 2 days later when a Fulton County judge granted a request to wiretap phone the guy Smurf had gone to see off Howell Mill Road- Mr. Decarlo Hoskins.
Three days of listening to Hoskins proved fruitful. It sounded as if Decarlo was about to do a big coke deal with three dudes. He told them over the phone to meet him at "his spot." HIDTA agents took position at his apartment complex and waited.

I ask my family to consider this, for every millionaire in the dope game..that is a significant segment of our community that is dealing with addiction and the byproducts of drug addiction, crime, poverty, domestic violence, child neglect/abuse and violent crimes up to and including murder. Each gold ring, gold chain and designer watch is a dead baby. Each expensive car is an entire family wiped out. Im asking that we see these old war stories of the streets in the true light of what they represent. If after that realization, this is still a glamorous tale worthy of the annals of history and the history of our ancestors that we teach our children so be it.

As a male adult, I can't honestly say nothing about this should be idolized for children. On the flip side of things, and being raised in the city this whole thing is from, Detroit, this is very informative, interesting & respectable to some point. I tend to think this is also educational for how not to live your life. But if poverty wasn't so normal while the richest have majority of wealth I can't help but think these lifestyles have became goals and "what not to do" & viable career choice.

Everyone has a choice. From the dealer to the addict to the community. Everyone chose poorly. Can't blame the dealer for supplying a demand. Gotta blame the addict for being weak to get hooked. Can't blame the dealer because the community went down. Gotta blame the community for allowing the drugs dealers and addicts in their community. The community allowed it and tolerated it even with the addicts and gun battles they allowed it. They elected do nothing politicians they let their community down that's on them. Chalk it up to the game. Only innocents in all of this are the kids and regular citizens who get caught in shoot outs other than that everyone is complicit in how their community turned out. I feel no sympathy towards anyone in the game they knew the risks. I feel no sympathy for communities either for the same reasons they allowed it.

We idolize these drug dealers and gang bangers but the fact of the matter is they are treasonous and against their own. They do nothing but profit from the downfall of their own. They stack all that money pushing poison just so the feds can come and take it all. It’s a monopoly and these youngins ain’t figure it out yet. Sad.

It's funny when people have such strong opinions and feelings on something they have never been a part of or even understand, then speak on it like it's a fact. Wether it's done intentionally or through ingnorance, misinformation just muddys the waters and takes energy away from the real issues. The black community was absolutely exploited and unfairly used as a scapegoat by people farther up the chain but to say that italian mobsters are supplying black people and just getting off with impunity when caught is disingenuous at best and manipulative at worst.

@@sukhoifockewulf truth. Most old school Italian gangsters are dead set against selling drugs. It's a violation of Costra Nostra. Many different people have entered the drug game. In the end it's always poor people who want to live the dream. Economic disparity creates the issues we have today in the streets. Politics and racism keep us divided and weak.
