In this video, you compare the HO scale caboose to the G scale caboose of the Christmas Coca Cola steam train from LGB that you will make a video about it. But you received an invitation to the Bitter Creek Western Railroad in San Luis Obispo County and you got to ride on one of the biggest model trains on a big layout. I like to go there sometime in the future. This is Thomas Comeau signing off for today!

Dude just walked into my work not even 10 minutes ago with his shirt advertising his channel. Luckily I was just given my break so I went to go look his channel up. Now I’m here. Hey, he’s got 200K subs so I guess he’s doing something right.

I love watching BIG model trains, although you didn't say what gauge it was.
@crustyhotdog79403 жыл бұрын
It's 1/8 scale.

Love the big train, how can I get one of those?
@plymouth-hl20ton375 жыл бұрын
Steam Z there are companies out there that build and sell these but if you buy a Bridgeport Mill and a decent-sized South Bend Lathe you can build one which is what a lot of people do

I’m a young model railroader too. I use HO scale though and yes, it is a somewhat small gauge, but the lemonade here is that it is VERY inexpensive to get and operate, in fact, your Santa Fe super chief costed, what? 900+ dollars? Well, you could get the exact same engine with the exact same features for cheaper than half that.(not to start any kind of who’s the wiser person kinda thing)

How do model trains give out that smoke? Is it like a fog machine type of thing or steam?
@JimZim6 жыл бұрын
It's steam.
@plymouth-hl20ton375 жыл бұрын
Brandon Nixon on the East Coast there usually coal fired so they blow out black smoke some on the west coast are oil-fired so they'll blow out various colors of dark smoke and some are propane-powered

Nice, try getting yourself invited to Train Mountain as well and make a video from there :-) Greetings from Norway!
@JimZim6 жыл бұрын
As a matter of fact, I had a two-hour train ride at Train Mountain just a few days ago! That will be the subject of a future video, which you'll see a few weeks from now.
@JimZim6 жыл бұрын
By the way, have you been to Train Mountain? Or do you just know it from word of mouth in the train world?
@froskus6 жыл бұрын
Jim Zimmerlin I have never been there, actually never been to the USA either... I just came across it under videos recommended for me here on KZbin (after watching several train videos). I have alto watched a lot of your cruise videos, and I really liked those videos. So keep up the good work.

It's quite likely that I'll be visiting the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad in the next few days, although it may be early August before any video of it appears on my channel. I'll be vacationing along the Oregon coast this week.
