A tricycle is a three-wheeled vehicle. The concept combines in itself all the categories of vehicles which may have three wheels (cars, bikes,
motorcycles, etc.). In turn, some of them are divided into separate categories.The word trike (trike), came to us in Russia from the United States, and just the same and translated
as a "tricycle", i.e. a General concept for all vehicles with three wheels. But for Russia it would be correct to assume Tricomi only motorcycles having three Kolesa and
for other three-wheeled vehicles have their own names.
The first steam tricycle was invented in 1790 and was called "big cart Cunho" (from the name of its Creator). However, at that time such a vehicle was
able in 1 hour to cover the distance only 5 km. And was invented for transportation of shells.
Modern tricycles have rather become an element of luxury and are created as compact sports cars. Afford such a tricycle can not all, as it
the cost may be several times higher than the cost of an ordinary car. For this reason, modern tricycles are not very popular.And for the same reason
there is a lot of homemade three-wheeled vehicles ,some of which budaragin vision.
The main difference between a three-wheeled vehicle and a two-wheeled vehicle is its stability. It is known that to ride a bike and motorcycle must be able to well
keep the balance, otherwise the trip on such transport will necessarily result in a fall. But thanks to the third wheel there is no need for this -
the vehicle itself is constantly in balance, making it very difficult to turn even in a collision.Trikes are of two types:the most common
one wheel in front and two in back,and so-called trikes on a turn - when two wheels in front and one behind.

good selection of trikes , they are the way of the future with modern engineering , the leaning reverse trikes are the ducks nuts and the haters havent tried riding one or most of them wouldnt be carrying on , have the piaggio mp3 250 , a canam spyder as well as my NORMAL bikes .. they are all enjoyable for different reasons and uses

What about reverse? It must be difficult pushing a 3/4 ton custom hot rod trike out of a parking spot. is there a weight standard/requirement/cutoff (legal or industry accepted) where reverse becomes necessary?

The second vehicle you showed here that was taken from my video is the Yamaha R1 powered Terracraft, NOT a Gixxer 1000!! And by the way, it does lean autonomously with our rider assist software package we developed. The vehicles are designed and hand built in Bacliff Texas.

The leaning steampunk at the beginning is a fantastic combination of engineering and delightful style, a real grin. The next two (non-leaning) appear to be well engineered until noticing the stupidity of motorcycle tires. THEY DON'T LEAN, PUT CAR TIRES ON THEM. If you look at the demands a leaning motor cycle wheel and a car wheel make you need a lot more spokes to carry the lateral loading.Look at a spoked E type back wheel will show what I mean.
