My brother and I met Jonathan Joss (Redcorn’s VA) at a con. Nobody was in his line, when we walked up to him we yelled “big mountain fudge cake!” And he started to sing the song and we joined in head banging while we sang. Everyone stopped and stared and it seemed like the entire con area got quiet, then when people who were in the know caught on they started clapping and cheering. Epic moment! Also earlier in the day when I saw him walk by I said “well well well….JOOOOOOHN Redcorn and as he walks by he says “peeeeeeggy….hill” lmao. He was a great guy

Seeing John Redcorn reinvent himself as a children's singer reminds me of the many times artists found success (or MORE success) in reinventing themselves, like how Scott Cawthon wanted to make Christian games before making Five Nights at Freddy's, or Shel Silverstein writing children's poetry.

That scene at Strickland...I am the reaper, the collector of souls! Mothers die, children die alone! I absolutely loved that part. Reminds me of when I used to play in my band and we would make up hard-core metal songs with funny lyrics when we were bored. It wasn't nearly what our normal sound was so it was just really hilarious to scream and yell deeply all grundge like. Good old days.

I'm convinced all 3 of them was in charge of one word each for the band name. Lucky is simple-minded, so he'd probably just say "Big", because big things are impressive. John Redcorn said "Mountain" because it's respect to nature, and the last guy idk his name just threw in a wacky word to make the band name stick well.

BMF's vocals left much to be desired, but you can’t deny the emotional context behind the lyrics. The themes of the songs about money reflect John Redcorn’s outburst at Strickland. The song he also plays at Strickland seems to be based on the genocide of his people. I got some Iron Maiden’s Run to the Hills vibes from that.

I have great news: like many local bands who end up achieving cult status after splitting up, Big Mountain Fudgecake are finally getting back together and have scored a record deal! They even have a full-time drummer now. Their long-awaited debut album "Diabetic Coma" is set to drop in CD and digital formats, with the first two singles tentatively set as "Hole in my Heart" and "Collector of Souls". There's even rumors swirling about that they'll be playing next year's Gathering of the Juggalos.

4:28 There was a crappy High School garage band that had a gig at a local Denny’s (thankfully late at night around 11 PM - 12 AM) & it ended up having the audience tearing up the restaurant. The KZbin video of the gig is most remembered for when the lead singer asked “What the fuck is up Denny’s?”.

One thing that always confused me is that the band wanted to play the strickland family fun day pretty much since they all overheard Hank and Buck talking about it. Then when they did get the gig, Lucky and Elvin suddenly didn't want to do it because "the cake don't sell out"

Hi long time watcher of your channel. Big fan of King of the Hill rewatched the show way more times I dated. Right now I’m reviewing the first season on main channel this is just my Cogito Channel. The episode were they first show Mountain fudge cake really is one of my favorites because of what Hank said about John Redcorn betting on himself witch is something I’m doing right now. Working on a movie. But I really want to say you analyze all the cheaters from King of the Hill so well and I enjoy your videos 👍

Pretty good pivot into children's music by John Redcorn. He may have actually improved on his ditties.
