That early 80s Sixers team was already loaded and one of the perennial Top 3 teams in the league BEFORE they got Moses. They made TWO finals and three straight ECFs (all against the C's), winning two. This Sixers team has never made it past the second round. Big difference.

Kelly oubre was another player the warriors refuse to sign a couple years ago. Great offseason for the sixers. Boston has a better supporting cast and the knicks are more balanced though. 3rd best team in the east

Health is always fluid for a team, especially with the past health issues of Embid and George, but to see how Nurse and his system tactically could formulate a healthy group these men to be a possible contender is good for the NBA.

Philly looks good and the east looks tough. But the problem is health. Every year, Emided has been hurt in the playoffs. PG13 has been prone to getting hurt as well. So will see right now the team that could challenge Boston is Knicks , Cavs, Bucks, Philly but it will come down to health in the end

This will move them further from a championship. "Big Three" basketball without a super deep bench almost never wins championships. Even worse, two of their three (Embiid and PG) are consistently injury prone. Even if they stay healthy, it'll take them this entire year to adjust to playing together. Even with PG, they're not even in the same room as Boston when it comes to competing for a ring.

Got Drummond off the bench for rebounds as well as Eric Gordon plus if that rookie can get on the floor and make some shots I don't hate the bench. Last year their bench was awful and that's why they got destroyed when Embiid was off the court vs NYC. Their bench players they had were all hurt as well so I'm liking the move and it's all on Maxey's knees not Embiid's and those things are lighting
