ఏదైనా ఓ విషయం గురించి మాట్లాడదామనుకున్నపుడు ఆ విషయం మీద అప్పటికే సమగ్ర అవగాహన అయినా ఉండాలి లేదా ఆ దిశగా అడుగులైనా వెయ్యాలి. ఈ మూఢ సంప్రదాయవాదుల్లో అది లవలేశమైనా కనిపించదు. మీరు ఏ ప్రశ్న అయినా అడగండి కప్పదాటు వ్యవహారమే తప్ప ఓ స్పష్టమైన సమాధానం రాదు వీరి వద్ద నుంచి. ఇక విషయానికి వద్దాం.. సృష్టిలో సగం మందికి పైగా ఉన్న స్త్రీ జాతిని అనాదిగా ఒ ఆట వస్తువుగాను, బానిసగాను మాత్రమే పరిగణిస్తూ వచ్చింది మానవ సమాజం.. దీనీకి ఏ దేశము, ఏ మతము అతీతం కావు.. ఇక మన మతానికొచ్చినట్లైతే అది ఉద్భవించిన కాలం నుంచీ కూడా ఒక అతి చిన్ని వర్గపు చేతుల్లో ఉంది.. వారే పూర్వకాలపు ఋషులు, మునులు.. మత ధర్మాలేవీ పూర్తి స్థాయిలోను, అందరికీ అర్ధమయ్యే ఏ రీతిలోనూ గ్రంధస్థం చెయ్యబడిందే లేదు.. వాటిని అధ్యయనం చేసినవాళ్ళు చెప్పిందే వేెదం.. చెప్పింది వినడమే తప్ప అడగడమన్నదే లేదు.. చెవిలో పువ్వు పెట్టి మరీ చెప్పడం.. వినకకపోతే ఏదో అయిపోతుందని భయపెట్టడం.. ఇదీ వరస.. ఇప్పటికీ ఇదే తంతు.. ఎప్పటికి మారతాం ? ఇక ప్రధాన అంశానికి వద్దాం.. వర్మ గారు ఏ సందర్భంలో అయినా స్త్రీ సమాజాన్ని విమర్శించాడా? తన వైవాహిక జీవితంంలో జరిగిన వైఫల్యాన్ని అదునుగా తీసుకుని అతడ్నిి తూర్పారబట్టడం ఎంతవరకు సమంజసం? తను తీసిన చిత్రాలను ఒక్కొక్కటిగా వేసుకుని చూడండి.. హింసను కూడా వీలైనంత గోప్యత పాటిస్తూ కేవలం ఎఫెక్ట్ మాత్రమే చూపడం జరుగుతుంది. మిగిలిన దర్శకులు ఎంత జుగుప్సగా.. ఉదాహరణకు బొడ్డు మీద బత్తాయికాయలను, కొబ్బరి బోండాలను కూడా కొట్టినట్టు చూపించే వాళ్ళకంటేను, అనాగరికంగా ఒక స్త్రీ జుట్టు పట్టుకు ఈడ్చుకొచ్చే దృశ్యాలను, నిండు గర్భిణి కడుపు మీద తన్నే దృశ్యాలను అంతే ఎఫెక్టివ్ గా చిత్రీకరించే దర్శకులకంటే అసహ్యంగా తీశాడా వర్మ? అసలు అతను తీసిన సినిమాలను చూడరు.. కానీ అతడ్ని తిట్టడానికి మాత్రం వచ్చేస్తారు.. ప్రస్తుత జి. ఎస్. టి. ఛిత్రం ఒక పోర్న్ చిత్రమని అతను చెప్పాడా? అదేమైనా థియేటర్లలో విడుదల చెయ్యబోతున్నాడా? సకుటుంబ సమేతంగా చూడాలని నిబంధన ఏమన్నా విధించాడా? హేతుబద్దంగా విమర్శించడం నేర్చుకోండి. అలా అని వర్మ గారి అన్ని అభిప్రాయాలను నెత్తికెత్తుకోవలసిన పని లేదు. ఒక వేళ నెత్తికెత్తుకున్నప్పటికీ వాటిని మోసేంత సమర్ధత సమకాలీన సమాజంల్లో కనీసంగా కూడా ఉంటుందనుకోను.. అతనో స్థితప్రజ్ఞుడి స్థాయికి చేరుకుంటున్న వ్యక్తి. ఒక ప్రివిలేజ్డ్ పర్సన్. కావలసింది తీసుకోండి.. అఖ్ఖర్లేనిది వదిలెయ్యండి.. అంతే కానీ ఓ జీనియస్ ను అర్ధం పర్ధం లేని వ్యాఖ్యానాలతో రోడ్డుకీడ్చకండి.. తనే స్వయంగా రోడ్డుమీదికొచ్చే వాడ్ని మీరేమీ చెయ్యలేరు.. గుర్తు పెట్టుకోండి. స్త్రీల గౌరవాన్ని మరింత పెంచే వ్యక్తే కానీ మరో వ్యక్తి కాదు వర్మ. సూమోల్లో వీరంగం చేస్తూ అతి హేయమైన డైలాగులు వల్లిస్తూ రణగొణధ్వనులతో ప్రేక్షకుల కర్ణబేరులకు చిల్లులు పెడుతున్న అరివీర భయంకర దర్శకులకంటేను, హీరోయిన్లను కేవలం ఆట బొమ్మలుగా మాత్రమే చూపి దానికి శ్రంగారామని వింతపేర్లు పెట్టి సిల్వర్ జూబిలీలు చేసుకున్న వారికంటేను ఎన్నో రెట్లు మిన్న మన వర్మ. ఎంతో తక్కువ ఖర్చులు తానేమి చూపదలుచుకున్నాడో అదే స్పష్టంగా చూపగలిగే అద్భుత టెక్నీషియన్ మన తెలుగువాడైనందుకు గర్వించండి. అసలు జీవితంలో ఒకసారి కూడా థియేటరుకు వెళ్ళి సినిమాలు చూడని కుహనా మేధావులను చర్చలకు పిలిచి కనీస సినిమా అవగాహన కూడా లేని వాళ్ళు వర్మ వంటి సినీ మేధావిని ఏం ప్రశ్నలు అడగ్గలరు? నొటికొచ్చింది వాగడం.. ఏమీ అనడు కాబట్టి దూషించడం తప్ప..
