Hamare Assam me toh abhi tk Assistant Professor recruitment board bna hi nhi... Colleges me bs whi API k basis pe hota hai recruitment.. for each application we need to pay 1500 - 2000 ... Uske baad bhi.. jb result niklta hai.. toh unke khudke ya local candidate ko hi milta hai job..

Logic toh phir a hain ki jo PhD holders hain o research to acche se kar sakte Hain but teaching efficiency may not be good enough. Toh phir to opposite baat bhi sahee hain na Jo log teaching acche se kar lete Hain they may not be a good researcher. Aur University mein whether it's Arts, Science or Commerce Dissertation rehta hain phir Jo professors hain o khud bhi unke andaar 4 PhD scholars ko lenge. Toh jis insaan ne research Kiya hee nehi experience e nehi hain o khud dusre ko research karwayega. Is it not an irony? Kuch to logic hona chahiye. This issue needs to be resolved. Moreover a bhi dekha hai ki bohut log sirf publication karte jate hai koi quality and standard nehi rehta sirf focus rehta hai jada se jada publication. A bhi sahee hona chahiye.

Exactly. In our state university, equal weightage was given to 60 percentile & 90 percentile candidates, right from graduation in recruitment! The University topper (general category) who had also cleared NET, had also applied, but was not selected! Some random 60 percentile reserved candidate got the job. At least equal weightage should be given to NET & PhD! Both are equally challenging.

API score ke basis pr selection nahi hona chaiye, kyoki isme PHD students ko preference diya jata he na ki NET wale students ko. Hum exam ya interview equality ke basis pr dete he na ki inequality ke basis par. Yadi assistant professor ki vacancy aaye he toh iske liye ek exam ho jo ki State PCS ke through conduct kiya jaye aur central he toh toh UPSC ke through. Kyoki exam se phd aur net dono students ke liye chance equal hoga.
