We mustn't forget that he is playing since 2007 till almost upcoming 2025 year, which is 18-19 years in 3 different formats, albeit with injury phases of his. That's equivalent to playing 24 years in 2 longer formats like Sachin, I feel 🤯🥵🙄😊☺️ And Riyan may be a good player. But he has been backed in RR despite many failed seasons, only because of his relative Ranjit Barthakur who is the RR owner, that's why he is proven lobby. Let's see what he does now 🙁☹️😊

As per performance in ODI World Cup 2023 and T20 matches since January 2024 till date including IPL 2024, Shubhman Gil is not deserved to include present T20 and ODI matches as player and vice captain. One sided favorism is found his selection. While Ritu Raj is fully deserved as player in T20 matches and ODI. But, he has not been included in present T20 and ODI matches which is highly discrimation. I am not personally against any particular player. But, it is wrong to ignore to current performance of any player. Captainship of Ritu Raj is found well during Asian Cup 2023 and IPL 2024 as Indian captain and CSK captain respectively.

Now when He's coach, a boy whos last 7 t20 innings had 70+ avg and 160 strike rate and peaked at the right time (icc t20 rank 8) is being dropped and the one whos never looks comfortable in his recent matches is now the VC of the team and the reason given is he looks promising .. i mean what the F*** really. 2.
