I made an OTK deck that only has 1 minion (prophet Velen). But it's wild. It has like 80% winrate. Pretty stupid. there are a couple of ways to kill: 1: resurrect - resurrect - eternal servitude - mind blast = 10 mana, 40 damage 2: res - res - blast - blast = 8 mana 40 damage 3: res - servitude - blast - blast =10 mana 40 damage 4: res - res - embrace the shadows - flash heal - flash heal = 8 mana 40 damage 5: res - servitude - embrace - heal - heal = 10 mana 40 damage 6: res - res - blast - embrace - heal- heal = 10 mana 40 damage and if you include spells copied by shadow vision, you can do a lot more combos like res-res-res-blast-blast=80dmg. I can't even write down every combination. Every now and then 1 prophet will survive a turn, then you can easily do 80 or even 160 damage. Other than that you just put in removal spells and shadow essence and mass dispels. the later is because it's the only spel based card draw and you don't want minions. It is more reliable than multi minion versions I tried but if you want to include other minions then I recommend emperor thaurissan, mirage caller, onyx bishop, herald volazj, barnes. This can fail more often but its arguably more fun. Gives you more damage output and you can do some sort of combo multiple turns. It's not hard to get 4 Velens on the board. But the Vellen solo minion deck is by far the most reliable. The best counter for that version though is playing ice block ASAP but you can still win vs that.

Jyotsha Kumar you can death your velen when you play him to make sure he dies. IF you are afraid of polymorph / hex / tinkmaster etc.

yes polymorph can be bad since resurrect can give you a sheep but you can still win. you can summon 2x 5/5 copies of velen and then the real one too. And people don't tend to polymorph a 5/5 minion anyway, unless they know what's going on. I only remember loosing vs polymorph and a couple of aggro hunters. But yea, I played at low rank (17 or something) and also casual. It just has a high win rate even for that rank and considering how easy to play it is and it just feels very reliable compared to other decks. But it's kinda of a boring asshole deck. Probably sucks suddenly loosing from full health and the enemy has empty board and doesn't matter how you played. Mostly just play it out of curiosity, how strong can this no skill deck be?

yes, otk does mean one turn kill. tempo decks usually try to take control of the game early on for quick wins.

Specifically, Tempo decks aim to control the board and apply pressure early by exploiting as much value from their cards as possible. To compare, aggro attempts to apply pressure to a degree that isn’t able to be defended against, and control decks aim to stall out the game to a late-game win condition (this deck is a good example). Tempo decks tend to be somewhere in between, looking to almost always play on-curve and simply create board states that can simultaneously defend against aggro and pressure control before they achieve their win condition. Look into pirate warrior for aggro, Jade Druid for control, and Keleseth Rogue for Tempo if you want examples of decks that are fairly straightforward and represent their respective points on the aggro-to-control spectrum very well.

By extension, this also includes playing around your opponent's high-impact cards so as not to lose your tempo. (E.g: Tempo Rogue, Zoolock, Token Druid, Bloodlust-Evolve Shaman.) *Control deck* = #1 priority is to gain long-term card advantage, or "value" as it's known. In minion-heavy matchups, this means the user always wants to have board control so as to dictate what attacks where; hence the name. (E.g: Control Mage, Control Paladin, Jade Druid.) *Mid-range deck* = #1 priority is to play for tempo OR trade for value, depending on what the opponent's win condition is. The deck has the flexibility to do both paths but can run out of fuel if the user doesn't commit to one early enough. (E.g: Curator Paladin, Quest Warrior, Jade Shaman, some slower Hunters, most Elemental decks.) *Combo deck* = #1 priority is to draw as many cards as possible, without getting milled from having a full hand. The combo can be the aforementioned One-Turn-Kill that wins from hand and doesn't care about the opponent's life total, or it can be a board state that enables enough chip damage to be dealt over multiple turns. (E.g: Highlander Priest, Quest Mage, Burn Mage.) *Attrition deck* = #1 priority is to outlast all of the opponent's threats, either because the user has a OTK combo or because their overall card quality is just better than the opponent's. Board control is only a means to extending the user's life total, it doesn't matter in and of itself. (E.g: Big Druid, Big Priest, Discover Mage, Fatigue Warrior.)

Jordan Wang there really isn't much to teach. You need to have a grasp on what cards synergize with eachother, and if possible with your heropower. Being successful at playing the game relies on you knowing what your opponent might have in his deck and hand, and how likely it is, that he has that card, to determine, what's your best play. Learning to handtrack helps a lot, too
