PlayStation is reportedly prepping a February State of Play for Valentine’s week
The next Sony live stream could take place this month. Sony will stream its next State of Play presentation later this month, it’s been claimed.
That’s according to reliable gaming insider ‘NatetheHate’, who frequently reveals information on the games industry ahead of official announcements. NEWS: Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has been rated in South Korea🚀 Ghost of Yōtei The PlayStation store may have accidentally leaked METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER's release date: August 28, 2025.
This usually indicates that the game is close enough to launch.
The rumored PlayStation State of Play in the week of Valentine’s Day will feature a trailer for Hideo Kojima’s DS2, which the legendary game designer appeared to be working on yesterday
According to the user, PlayStation’s next live stream is arriving in February. Asked by an X user for more exact timing info on the State of Play, the insider dropped a strong hint that it would take place on the week commencing February 10. Lost Soul Aside confirmed for State of Play !
Sony regularly puts out a State of Play in January or February to reveal some of the titles it’s planning to release during the first half of the calendar year. There are talks about Halo coming to PS5 and Gears of war, I think there is a chance we will see Metal Gear Solid Delta, Death Stranding 2, Wolverine, and GHost of Yotei all leaked for PlayStation 5 with gameplay and release dates.

MGS Delta isn't exclusive on Playstation, it's also on Xbox Series as well. Sony revealed the game initially while Microsoft did the gameplay reveal.

Sony has always been masterclass in writing, even in tackling trains issues like in TLOU2. They did it very subtly. Veilguard had nowhere near the writing level of any of Sony's exclusives. Even if some writers joined Yotei, I dont expect a game set in ancient Japan scream about trains rights and girl power. Prolly an underdog story which will handle how a woman samurai may have been perceived during that period. I'm excited for it, even in TLOU2, ND's writing didn't miss, it was the appaleaing character design of Abby that I didn't like, not the writing.

It'd be nice if Sony spread their wealth a bit more, instead of dumping 100's of millions into one project. What made the PS1 and 2 days so great was the fact that big companies took risks and AA gaming was at the forefront of gaming in general.
