As per the video, we have three options: A. F35A B. Su57 C. AMCA In my point of view first two options are not an option, we need to simply go for option C. Because, A. F35A is a multi nation joint project. If any of this nation veto we are going to be in big trouble in a war like situation. It's initial acquisition cost is low compared to other western fighter but it's operational cost is so high that even mighty US defence budget is in trouble to face that. In our very limited budget we may buy them but couldn't maintain them. B. Su57 is not a stealth fighter like F22, F35 or J20 and not even near. As it appear recently in Chinese airshow, it's nut & bolt show badly in the outer body. Let alone western media even Chinese are mocking them. Moreover whatever we are going to buy, we are only get the export version of that product, not the original one. Why give billions of dollar to the foreign country instead heavily investment on our own country? Government should invest on R&D. That's the only way.

There will always be a difference. You may buy up foreign weapons upgrading your arsenal but it will always be a technical challenge to maintain operability under all circumstances especially for a nation that hasn't worked in building any of these machines. There's intangible benefit associated with collaboration and development programs with foreign military industries rather than buying defence products upfront. India ensures at least the DPSUs get to participate in some part of the development or research process, thereby gradually building a nation's engineering capability in the long term. Also India is capable of producing them cheap so any day we can end up getting their contracts. Fellow Indians need to understand why we are on a good path and getting more weapons is not the solution.
