Same problem in our unicorn bike. But we can't find the short.........coil to rectifier volt comes 30-40v AC. Rectifier output charging volt 13 to 15v. When we connect battery voltage shows 1 to 4 volt. How to solve ?

​@@anoopraha7166my unicorn stopped charging the battery. I replaced the regulator (Nippon electric), but that stopped charging within 24 hrs. Stator voltage is fine. Idle voltage is around 20V and goes upto 150V at high RPM. What could be the problem? I'm afraid of putting in a new regulator. Could the stator have a partial short?

@@anandha12 open voltage will read zero to 3 volts. Keep battery wire connected to battery and than measure charging voltage. It should not go beyond 14.2 or 14.6 volts. Min charging voltage is 2 .2 volts higher than battery voltage.

@@anandha12 and no stator is not short or else higher voltage Reading should have been less than what it is. Check for joints in wiring and if found any crimp wire connection than do soldering also.

@@anoopraha7166 thanks very much for the reply 🙏. there are no joints. I've been servicing the vehicle myself. Absolutely no electrical problems since purchasing (2018). Everything original factory fitted parts. First time electrical problems have come. Even the headlight bulb is original. I'll check for broken wires or loose connections.
