Sound can even be a metric . This way image cane be low res far and higher res as sound get closer ..like a screen dynamic baseline ahd where the person look become less low res as sound is nearer

that is a good question. I personally haven't tried it yet so I cannot give you the answer but if you do try it please let me know.

The 2D windows persisting after an immersive app is open sounded interesting but after testing it, it deactivates the 2D apps when they’re not in use. So you can’t have Spotify or Discord running while playing a game. Hopefully this can be fixed or someone can make a native version Discord/Spotify app.

I think it always worked with 120 on the regular headset mode but this updates talking about wifi connectivity. I know I was always experiencing a slight delay that made it unplayable. I am hoping it's totally wireless now.

yes it works with 120 hz ofcourse not every app and game has it built into it yet but it is possible

quest 2 get the same update so you should get all these features too but some might be slightly different however on average it is the same. I hope that helps ?

My mic audio is still crap after the updates. It's not muted; it's just really low volume. Not fixed. Got a replacement. Still useless. Can barely hear myself even on full volume, whether inside or outside of apps. And yes, I've made sure those apps have mic permissions to it isn't that. Tried all the trouble-shooting fixes. Mad frustrating. Apparently this most recent update supports use of an external usb-c mic, but I can't find out which ones are compatible and don't want to risk expenditure on something else that might not work.

Yeah it is indeed still far from perfect. But if you have any external microphone already at home I would recommend using that instate. I hope you still enjoyed the video?

@@VRelity Yes thanks. Ordinary external mics (like using the audio jack) don't work. External mics only work with the new upgrade and when you use a usb-c mic, so I have to buy one.

I finally got access to the livestream feature did that roll out with this update? Edit: ok this is strange turned my quest 3 back on to actually give it a shot and the forth button I had saying go live on the camera app vanished. Before I could click that and it said I could stream to Facebook directly or to KZbin by casting it to a 3rd party encoder from the pc. Got excited to finally have access and it vanished so quick.

You can store all your rooms but you need to draw your play area every time you switch rooms still, it only stores all the walls and furniture and you still have to make a play space for each room. If you live on one floor it wouldn't matter you could just draw a square play space around your whole apartment and you'll get warnings for the the walls and furniture, but if you have 2 floors you can only use 1 of them as the play space. Why do we need a "place space" at all if we already mapped all the room walls and furniture?

Probably 20+ years away, since the whole point of SAO is that you could have full sensory experiences and the game was fully controlled by your brain. We've seen a tiny bit of that, but these two areas are probably the least developed so far, and the next 10 years is going to be going into MR development to push a future where people wear head devices to help them in public settings.

Spatial Videos ist nothing new. Its just SBS Videos and Apple make just a rebranding. Old Technic new Name. You can watch SBS videos since the QuestGo and Quest1. Its just a Flat 3d Image. Not Volumetric or anything new.

You're not allowed to get the update in Texas unless you bring your headset to Bucee's so that they can apply the updates for you. Make sure to call ahead first.

Quest 3 is such a good headset! Just wish I could delete demos and other nonsense from my library permanently. That things so cluttered j can barely find what I'm I'm looking for. But these are excellent adds. Too bad the devs are so pre occupied with hand gestures that they can't be bothered to add a folder system.

Be very careful with those VR lenses. I bought two pair and neither were acceptable. Double vision was not able to be fixed. I wasted 150 bucks and was not able to get my money back.

Thousands of new things but still no way to organize the library for 4 years. You can filter by demos but not by purchased games. everything is displayed at the same time. Imagine you install 100 demos...then you really have to search for your games. This is so ridiculously bad that I'd rather take my money to Steam. No more purchasing without proper filter options for me. It's just ridiculous not to offer such an option. RIDICULOUS!.

Unless I'm doing something wrong this multitasking update is garbage. It is still completely attached to the dashboard meaning if you close the menu it closes your apps. How on earth that is multi tasking only meta's marketing department knows. That was the bit I was looking forward to the most. Gutted.
