Great discipline staying with the slower tempo. Not as much fluff to hide behind. Very good technique

The moderate tempo and clear photography make it easy to see and feel what Mike is doing in this lyrical arrangement. I bet he's a fine teacher.

One of my favourite fiddle tunes, and a great arrangement. I'm really enjoying working through the lesson. Just a thought - this would segue really well with Flowers of Edinburgh.

Very nice. I don't understand why people are always asking for tabs for songs. Just keep watching and listening until you have it memorized. You can slow it down with settings, what more do you need!

@delaynestallman I was recently thinking about a reunion gig...that would be fun. You're right, scheduling would be the biggest challenge. I'm certainly up for it though!

@all12notes That would be great. It's been a long time. Sometime we'll have to schedule a blues band reunion gig. It's a little harder with all our growing families.

Hi, I am looking to learn this tune. Do you have tabs for your version that i could buy?
@Halliday78959 жыл бұрын
what is this version based on ? i really like it! Im wanting to play this but i wanted to make up my own version very similar and not note for note to this and im wondering if yours is also your own interpretation based on someone's you liked but not identical... Is this the case? its fun to learn peoples note for note leads at times but its also fun to just play it a while until you settle into your own way to achieve similar motifs and start remember it ...as opposed to memorizing a version and then improvising the solo section only... I like to improve up my own head the improv new solos each time.... Anyone care to chime in with advise or wisdom? I always thought you were supposed to make your own take on fiddle tunes is that right? since back in the days before mass recording media you played by ear and memorization... and the genera sprung up out of that way of carriing on the traditional tunes....
