He didn't pay because every athlete and/or artist has an allotment with Adidas. For example: David Beckham has a "No Limit" allotment meaning he can basically walk into any adidas and pick out anything he wants and won't be charged for it. Why? He was the face of adidas for years, especially when his revolutionary soccer shoe "The Predator" took the world by storm. Adidas takes care of their own.
