She always just let the older daughter take care of her sibling. This caused them (The children) to be more close to each other. More years later, she found a new husband. She and her husband didn't care about the children. More more years later, the older child found a boyfriend. The children and the boyfriend bonded, had fun, and took care of each other. When it was the young child's first day of school, she called her sister and the boyfriend "mom and dad" because they were caring for her when her real mom and stepfather didn't.
