Yea the OLD videos I did are all a bit wonky because of copyright issues and whatnot, KZbin did weird things to them.

Seems like that’s all I’m catching out of here any tips for large mouth’s in August
@ReelNorthernBass3 жыл бұрын
Throw a mix of slooow moving stuff you can pick apart the thick veggies with. I like a texas rigged craw with a 1/2 oz weight to flip through shallow vegetation, and a 8" texas rigged worm with a 1/8 to 1/4 oz weight for dragging through deep offshore grass. I always have a jig on for everything in between too!! Good mix of fishing fast and slow with everything that I can pick apart every bit of structure with. Some fish need it super slow to commit, others you have to work it violently by them to trigger a reactionary strike.

Question for the local bass guys: I have a 40lb braid setup as well as a 10lb flouro set up, fishing for whatever bites but mostly smallmouth/largemouth. (I also have numerous rods in 6, 4, and 2 but those are my lighter ones...) I've been outta the bass game for some years now after living in Washington for 10 years where I fished mostly high mountain lakes and streams for trout using 2# flouro. I just moved to Southern NH. Can I get away with the 10# test on casting gear for my hardbait set up...cranks, spinners, jerks? The only change I would make us upsizing to 15#, but I had 15 on previously and the memory was wayyy more so I downsized. Or mono? Any and all info would be a huge help thanks all!

I was told to fish close to the ocean due to herring and other migratory runs the fish tend to be bigger

Awesome videos man. Im in southern nh i usually fish in mass. Your inspring me to head north. Maybe ill see you on the water this coming season
@ReelNorthernBass6 жыл бұрын
Thanks bud. Whereabouts in Mass do you fish? I know of a few places that I have heard are good not too far from say the Groton area, but I've never fished down that way. I'll likely be fishing down that way this spring though. Already suffering from cabin fever! As soon as I hear the ponds down there or on the cape are ice free, the boat is coming out of storage and I'm headed down! Hopefully we cross paths sometime this summer, and good luck if/when you go up north! Lots of great places to fish up that way.

Nice video! I just put out a video from my trip to Winnipesaukee, first time at the lake, launched from Lee Mill's and fished that entire arm all the way to Moultonborough bay! Did really well for the first week in May, definitely making that a yearly trip!

Do you get those unskirted jigs from leadfreebassjigs? I picked up a pack of those this past fall but haven't used them yet.
@ReelNorthernBass6 жыл бұрын
I have bought jigs from there but they were all skirted versions. The ones I was throwing were some tungsten ones I got from Tackle Warehouse, can't remember the brand but they were fairly cheap as far as tungsten goes.
