I have a DD 3500 15 in a 4.25 slot ported box@32hz 3200 watt max music & 4000 watt burp(older model running off a old school audiobahn amp only giving 1000rms cause i couldn't afford to power it at the time(working on that) but I would rip the door panels off every car i put it in and knock my windows outta their alignment like you could see inside my trunk when the bass hit lol DDFTW ALL DAY!

Large dust caps increase the rigidity of the cone. You can take a cone and crush it across its diameter until you fold it up, but if you have a large dust cap that creates a structure called a "torque box" that keeps the structure from folding up. All the parts of a woofer are much more rigid in the "hoop stress" direction (in the tangential direction, following concentric circles). So their function is more than purely cosmetic.

My little sundown audio sa8v3 hits really good for a single 8 inch sub. I was very impressed with it. I have it in a ported box tuned for 35hz with a sundown sae600D amp at 1 ohms. I can't imagine what all those 8s sounded like in that van. lol

Love those ESP surround Dd Audio 8's. Had the privilege to get two of the first built and was told be beat them to death. Not only did they not die they are in a customers car being beatin by a Rockford T2500 and taking it all. All day. Wicked subs. Built the Baltic box for them in his Subaru and the roof flaps like a flag. It's freakin awesome. God I love my job. Keep the vids coming brotha. ☺

It's just the camera microphone making things sound different. Much like blowing into a mic with your breath, even though your surroundings don't sound bad at all, the second you blow into the mic it sounds like a windy mess.
