🇯🇲🇯🇲 “ A patient man rides a donkey”. This project is sudden but warms my heart Nasto to see you’re finally embarking on part of the solution to your most sustain problematic and worrying issue to the occupation of your home. For space and convenience as compared to the other side of the house that location is better but I’m most concern for “water contamination” reason the water tank should be much further away from the septic tank. Nasto, you have to think of the future possibility of structural failure/leakage, no manmade construction is 100% fool-proof. It’s not too late, it’s cheaper to do the right thing the first time, the second time is expensive. As an added precaution raise the top of the water-tank at least three feet above the ground as a barrier and redundancy against flooding and cross contamination. Just my 2 cents from over 30 years in the construction industry.

To avoid the dirt from getting in the grove of the sliding space for the gate, you have to put concrete all around the gate and just leave the space for the sliding

For the gate you might need AXLE GREASE, it's a thicker polymer than oil. Loving the focus and looking forward to seeing you settled in your home.

The sliding gate could be fitted on the inside on rubber wheels, for example a wheelbarrow or dolly wheel..

Nasto, I'm curious to know how many liters will the in ground water tank contain 20k 30k? If you elevate a water tower like the picture you can use a smaller tank like 2.5k . A 5k will need a twice the strength 💪 tower. I hope this solves the water 🌊 problem. Just have to manage the usage when the rainy 🌧️ days slow down 😊

You can build the gazebo on the water tank. Some people in my country do that. In fact, my living room and part of my verandah are built on my water tank. My water tank was built of factory-made blocks, like the ones you saw at the place where you bought the culverts. Concrete and steel were also used to add strength and prevent leakage.

That will only happen if it's close to the septic. But the toilet in the house won't seep into it except the wastepipe is leaking.
