I love how you tell your kids you love them and give them hugs. Arwin is so ready for that she tell y’all she loves you. She’s learned love! I don’t know if y’all have noticed the way she says mom or dad. She stresses how she says it. Go back and listen on this blog. She probably needs lots of love and family right now. I think it's so cool that Bella keeps sentimental things like notes and her brother's letters. Her brothers also seem to keep their childhood photos and things and it's so adorable. It's nice to keep those things and look back on those memories because even the smallest piece of paper can hold so much meaning :) I wish everyone in this wonderful family the best.

Joy having something in her mouth is a very common trait in golden retrievers. My golden and mini golden doodle are the same way. This is especially true when someone comes home or visits. She is so pretty.

Arwin and her little squeak is just so cute. You can just hear the joy in the voice. I don't know her circumstances before now, but I am glad she is getting a little spoiled (just like the others.) When I hear foster care I always seem to associate it with sadness for the child. Not being in foster care (well partly) but why they had to go into foster care to begin with. I had some things happen in my youth so I can feel for these kids. Arwin really hit the lottery with this family. Also I hope she keeps the name Arwin when she is finally adopted. She kind of looks like a little elf (in a good way.) Watching past adoptions it is amazing how the kids go from scared and uncertain to complete joy and feeling safe. They can finally rest and be a kid again. I love you guys and what you do. The differences you have made in these kids lives is unmeasurable.

Barbados is Beautiful (i may be biased)......the beaches are beautiful...Aaron you are a foody you need to go to OIstins and try the food there, its mostly fish but you can get other meats as well. Enjoy your time on our beautiful Island...Maybe ill see you guys out and about!!

I TOTALLY know how you feel! When we left our kids for the first time last year for our 10 yrs Anniversary to New England, I was sooo nervous to leave them even though they were completely safe & completely trusted my brother & sister in law. We called them every night, but after the first 2 nights they didn't even want to talk to us; which hurt my momma heart at first, but also showed they were having fun & completely fine. Then I got nervous they weren't going to be excited to see us when we got back, but they were sooo excited & ran up & hugged us!!

my husband and i follow the traditional ways. we work on our relationship daily. we both have a past and those things cause feelings. In our relationship its God, each other, family and everyone else. We do not keep secrets or feelings from each other. Its a lot of work laying the groundwork but gets easier.
