Tip with Tulin’s spirit… you are going to want to turn it off when you fight electric lizalfos. When you hit an electric lizalfos in the head with an arrow, it gives an area-effect shock. Tulin’s good at the headshots, which can mean a nasty shock when you are not expecting it.

Not true, that is a garbage "tip". I fight electric lizalfos all the time with Tulin activated and never get electrocuted. You clearly just suck at the game, kid 🤣😂 There are numerous ways to take them out without EVER getting electrocuted. Just stay further away and throw a puffshroom at it and then sneak attack it or use an ice spear to freeze it and then hit it with a normal or fire spear afterwards to do massive damage while keeping your distance or even just shoot a couple of arrows with the keese eyeballs attached to them and that will normally drop them. You have to really be ass at the game to be having trouble with weak ass electric lizalfos 🤣😂

A Quick tip! You can use the rewind ability to send the arm the talus throws at you. It does damage and stuns it so you can climb up on it! 🎉 or use it on other projectiles as well. It saved me more than once 😅

Hey Gab! Keep in mind that every cave in the game has a Bubbulfrog in it to get a Gem! You can tell if you missed the gem by whether the Cave icon on the map has a check mark or not!

It’s a very small check mark but it appears somewhere near the cave name if you’ve gotten the gem. Sometimes they’re in cleverly hidden spots using ascend

Gab the little yellow flag is where you last entered the depths so you can get your bearings. Also you can get a yiga outfit which is cool and unlocks certain areas

Tip: The light root corresponds with the shrine found on the surface as it's the shrine name spelt in reverse, so mark the spot the shrines you have on the surface and pin them on the exact same spot in the depths, there are 120 light roots to find. There are 120 shrines on the surface and 32 on the sky.

Tip for Frox fights (and rest of game tbh), you don't have to throw items. If you just hold up you can then press "X" to drop the item. Frox will suck the bomb up right from the ground.

Tip for fighting Talos, when they throw their boulder.. arm.. things at you you can use recall to send it right back and stun them. Then climb on their back and use something with a boulder or 2 handed weapon to get a good 4-5 hits in and jump off. Rinse and repeat until it's defeated.

A tip for exploring the depths: The underground kinda mirrors the surface. Wherever there is water on the surface, it will be a solid cave wall in the depths so you'll have to go around. Thankfully you can tell where water is even on maps you dont have yet by looking at the darker patches.

I guess they did that so that you could go back and "continue" your path down there if you wanted to (ie if the map isnt revealed yet and is still dark). Only reason you couldnt hover over it is because it was right on top of the light root and so it locked on to its icon instead.

Here is an observation: Almost every time you complete a task someone has for you, they give you a rupee. Some might give you a different item but it seems like it is almost always a rupee of some sort. The observation though is that the only thing that she buys with her rupees is outfits. Sure there are other things but she has not really used the inns for beds, not really buying arrows because they seem abundant, resources you find all over the game, and the stables we have not really checked out. So mainly outfits and I figured there would be some new ones. However, I wonder if because they are just handing out rupees that means there is a lot of new ones.

I can’t watch this yet; I’m still way back at Episode 2. I’m playing, but very deliberately _not_ following the story points the extent that I can. I look forward to finally eventually watching this. I can’t wait to see what others’ reactions are to some of the discoveries I’ve made. I probably will be waiting until I’ve solved all of the shrines and am ready to go after the Big Bad before I finish this series. I also watched Sean playing (two episodes). I think his play style matches mine (I’m just going to go wherever I want to) but your attitude and commentary is more in line with mine (chill). Loving both for the different perspectives.

I play while i watch these, its like im gaming with you. Sometimes the timing of sounds is mindblowing, especially when i have an earbud in. Like at 1:22:18 ish, you use Tulin to boost your glide at the exact same millisecond that i did in my game. Tip for fighting Talus, you can use "Uppies" to quickly get on top of them to attack the ore deposit. Once you have chilled it or calmed it down, you can teleport... swim... jump through his body and get on top.

Shoot the sticky lizards with arrows... You can also fuse the monster parts (horns, spikes, construct horns, etc) to arrows for stronger hits, fuse a keese eye to one and it makes it into a homing arrow

So watching these made me realize. The Depths is where all the dungeons used to exist. Which means someone mined all those buildings our leaving open caverns. Some of the ruins are probably leftovers of Dungeons, people's buildings that fell in each great war and probably even leftovers of older castles from each Great War!

You can find the order and locations of the geoglyphs in the Hebra revene where the giant goddess statue is knocked over. There is a map of by rule and the orders are posted on the wall.

You can pin your minimap to north in the options if that helps. Just go into your item menu n scroll all the way to the right for the settings. I personally need my minimap facing north or I get super disoriented but I guess it must be a preference for some folk.

I did all this backwards accidentally haha. I dropped down the chasm on the plateau, right next to the temple (but didn't go up to find the constructs). I explored that part of the chasm really well, found the big abandoned mine, then went back and found the refinery and did the yiga stuff...then went to the base and got the quests haha

You are missing a third treasure in the depths towards the bottom of the bit of map, that you’ve already uncovered. Also, the cave in the shelter is way more extensive than what you already explored. There is way more to explore. You can even get a whole outfit.

If you find more of the Poe dealer's brethren, you can work towards buying an armour set to protect yourself in the depths against Gloom. Talk to the Goddess Statue in the Temple of Time on the Great Plateau.

Important note to remember to throw items when you can instead of using your bow to save on durability. On another note, I've got to say, Nintendo did an awesome job with the side quests in BOTW and has improved on them in TOTK. The "fetch" quests are mainly the Koroks and building your hearts, stamina, and Zoanite energy, but they incorporated it into the main quest to make it far more interesting and beneficial. The other side quests have lovely little stories to them - like Terry Town and the Rito sisters' song - and they've done it again with the rumor mill newspaper 🗞️📰 side quest to me have always been fun in the Zelda series, but they really outdid themselves here. It's really going to be difficult for me to decide if this or Alan Wake 2 is my GOTY, especially after seeing the trailer 🥲 they finally put the release date out and now I wish they'd have held it for next year 😭
