I am from Gloucester, SedgyCreek, in Guinea. My sister worked for JFP / JYF for thirty odd years, beginning as an interpreter, sales clerk, and Executive assistant to the Board. Jamestown has always held a special place in the heart of my family. Some of us out here are descended from Jamestown, Virginia settlers, including myself. Interesting. It looks as if ground shift of some type has gone on in the foundation. Unstable ground or small earthquakes?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but you said the first church was built in 1617 pilgrims didn't come until 1620 so who was it that built the church?

This is the Jamestown colony of Virginia, which begins in May 1607, the Plymouth Colony of Massachusetts begins 13 years later in 1620.
