Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 4 years.

Let's face it... buying more stocks & index funds during stock market corrections and bear markets is scary. Which makes it really hard to do for most people like me. I have 260k i want to transfer into an s&p but its hard to bite the bullet and do it.

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

The main focus for markets now is Nvidia, which has powered a large chunk of the S&P 500’s recent earnings. Nvidia’s stock, up more than 100% this year, rose 2.5% in New York on Monday, sending the Nasdaq 100 index to another record high. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...

I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850K

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.
@SloanJane-xp4kr2 ай бұрын
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown

If you are going to repeatedly have these commentators on the air who have been repeatedly wrong, please start the interview with them about their predictions over the last year or two. Educate your viewer about your interviewees before conducting the interview. You do not systematically do this which is why mainstream media is losing its credibility. If the interviewee is not willing to review their record, they should not be on your show!!!!

Lots of ppl dissing Dan but presenting no evidence where he has been so wrong. He is one of the few who is transparent and tells you where he is long, short, and even recent changes in his positioning. Show me who else does that? Nobody is right all the time but 99% are not transparent. He is right more than wrong. I think those hating on him own positions counter to his opinions. If not show us examples of him being wrong or non-transparent.

Tesla's AI is no joke for their FSD full self driving stack. Even after China allowed Tesla to be 100% owned in China (to copy how they manufacture EVs), China is now dominating in EVs in multiple markets a couple years later except the U.S. And now China is inviting Tesla to push FSD over there, so you can bet China's going to copy that, too.

My wife was a stay at Home mom with no money in her IRA or any savings of her own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago she got a part time job and save everything she make. After 3 years, she is 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in her portfolio with CFA, Abby Joseph Cohen. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up her lifestyle, she was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If she can do this in a year, anyone can.

These “investors” ironically don’t understand how “investing” works. They spent free cash on the future and hedge funds complain it’s not the future yet. But INTC didn’t at all, and they’re “poorly run.” Ignore this noise. Companies investing to solve future needs and still holding billions in free cash is a good thing. These guys are traders, not investors.

The idea that Tesla is still in the magnificant 7 is funny. Tesla's price in Nov 2020 is the same as it is now. You have 0 share price and Sales and earnings have decreased in 2024 compared to 2023. It is a dying car company with a PE higher than Nvidia.
