Interesting concept trailer, BUT as much as I respect Dwayne Johnson's talent on screen, they should leave the original John Carpenter/Kurt Russell classic alone. Russell has that swagger and bravura about him to make "Jack Burton" a very likeable character. If they do decide to go with Johnson and make the movie, I hope that it's as exciting and fun as the original film.

I just looked it up and it's not going to be remake,but further continuance. Johnson isnt playing Burton they said. No one could take that role up but Kurt Russell. Here's what Hiram Garcia, president of production at Seven Bucks Productions (which was founded by co-CEOs Johnson and Dany Garcia) and one of the producers on Big Trouble in Little China:: "There’s a lot of things going on with [Big Trouble in Little China]. He has practically nothing to do with its making either. There is no sane reason not to cast Kurt Russel in a sequel. I couldn't believe that John Carpenter wrote me back! Nice dude. It did not mention the wiz Egg. Vic was the strongest character in the flick. I would think it less vomit inducing to pick up where we left off. I really enjoyed this 1986 version even though the bondage scene with playmate Suzee Pai and Kim Cattrall was all too brief. I have no problem with Dewayne, he can do comedic action adventure. He did ride a big ass bee before. With all the unanswered questions from the last five minutes of the 86 Carpenter version they could easily huff some hash oil and barf up another 120 minute winner.

Name Him anything but Jack- too cleche) - they now truck along the Silk Road and fight demons as they try to keep up with finding the girl with green eyes... only she is in pursuit of a guy with... Until an actual trailer drops I won't be jumping the gun on it, I myself have watched this classic time and time again - entertained in the proper moments every time. Some remakes have surpassed expectations, I'm not saying that this will be different..I am just saying that it's a bold move on Hollywoods part for making a move on John Carpenters work. And from what I hear it's not exactly a remake, it's a sequel. All I am saying is to all of these negative comments, keep an open mind. They may yet surprise you -- to be fair Kurt Russell was amazing for those action movies. Which while they were entertaining for us, they weren't exactly Oscar-winning movies either; All I am saying just put your torches and pitchforks down for a minute, and be optimistic until an actual trailer drops.
