Big Tuna Dreams Season 2 Episode 1January Bluefin Tuna Fishing in California!

Well we left off last month with the series finale of #BigTunaDreams for 2018 only to find ourselves 4 days into the new year and Bluefin Tuna fishing off of Long Beach, California of all places! Unreal day spent with friends with the earliest bluefin tuna landed for any of us.
Watching schools of 30-80lbs foaming on bait from the Newport to Long Beach area in early January was something none of us have ever witnessed or go to experience, until now. Stick around guys, looks like this season has the potential to be a even better than 2018!!!

Interesting, I was wondering if they would move away this year. It doesn't seem like it. I guess we'll just have to see how long they stay before leaving for another 100 years. Edit: Congrats, nice fish too!

Great video! Im from extreme nor Cal and I usually just catch albacore but there were a few 20lb bluefin and one or two 100+ lb blue s caught here last year! I hope to get one this year here! We all catch them incidentally trolling 65 degree water for Albie's.

Only a handful of fish were caught this day by the entire fleet. Some believe the lighter line is a factor in just getting bit.

Investors must invest in Tuna hunting on deep sea using manual system not big corporate equipments.The idea is to let the tuna industry creep in slower way.Tuna is very marketable industry for big corporations to increase their profits,no problems about it.I am after with slow depletion of Tuna.When equipments being used in Tuna fishing are limited.The slow depletion of tuna will be highly visible in the economy.The idea is to let the sturdy men athletic type have jobs in fishing.
