If anyone is struggling to beat big wave beach, then here's some tips: Tip #1 (by far the most important one): Put your attackers in the back (the first three columns) and your sun producers in the middle (the next three columns). Yes, your sun producers are important, but not as important as your attackers, because your sun producers will stall the zombies getting to your attackers, thus allowing your attackers to have a better chance to kill them. This will not happen if your attackers are in the middle/front and getting eaten over and over again. Tip #2: Bring Rotobaga, Primal Peashooter, and Infi-nut. Rotobaga can float above water, thus allowing it to have pure spamming potential, Primal Peashooter because he can knockback zombies or stun them, and Infi-nut for his reusable defense and his plant food ability. Tip #3: Don't go for symmetry. If you know you're going to beat the level easily, then you can go for symmetry. But if you're not sure you can beat the level easily, then don't go for symmetry. Your plants should be planted around the zombies to deal with them, they shouldn't be planted for symmetry. Tip #4: If all else fails, then sell your soul to Popcap/EA and purchase the op premium plants.

@aryl balanon Modern Day is easier because the rifts barely appear in levels and you can easily beat the levels as long as you have the right plants. Big Wave Beach on the other hand, its simple in the beginning but as you progress, thats where the trouble starts. The zombies spawn so much in the beginning that you are forced to spend your sun on attacking plants instead of Sun Plants, but whatever you think is the hardest I won't argue with you.

@@S21234You don’t know the true original pain, originally the game had no levels and everything was basically level one, with BIG WAVE BEACH BEING WORLD 6 AFTER DARK AGES, with the previous worlds being Egypt, pirate, Wild West, far future, and dark ages. It was actually challenging back then, but these level plants give a huge boost making what was once extremely difficult become but more trivial.

I mean to be honest, for me that's what makes it fun. It makes it memorable, and adapting to the different gimmicks really show the strategical side of pvz2 (unless you use those new hideous low effort premium plants they keep making nowadays)
