I have lived and surfed (windsurfed too) on Maui, Kauai, Santa Cruz and San Diego and got caught inside at Killers one day. It wasn’t even that big but it was the only time in a lifetime of surfing that I thought I might die.

Same here. I was fourteen & got caught by a wide one about 15-20 ft day sitting in the channel/shoulder. Those rocks on the inside are gnarly.

@@RokkoPC Yup, one more wave in that 8 wave set that pushed me in and I would have been smashed into the boulders.

The sound of the impact from the surfer on the orange and yellow board was frightening ! Hopefully you didn't blow out your eardrums !

I'm not impressed. I was impressed when soul surfers went there without cameras and KZbin. You fools have ruined surfing!

I was one of those soul surfers there in the 80’s when we could camp on the island.

Blah blah blah do you know the actual history of surfing shit for brains? European colonists destroyed it on purpose then it was resurrected by native Hawaiians in the 20th century. White americans stole it from a culture they committed genocide to. It couldnt be more "ruined" than it already is
