I am a retired teacher. I got my 40 credits because I started working when I was 14. I put in 38 years in social security when I worked during the summer and a second job. When I retired, my SS was about 265 per month, now it's 517. 380 goes to pay for medicare. Some summers I did not work. How will they figure out how much I will get.
