All By Design is a really tough song to sing and he does it like it's nothing. Ian Thornley is an unbelievable singer. beating out many other rock singers who get more credit.

Didn't someone tell me once that Ian Thornley was associated to Nickleback in a production or writing roll? Please can someone correct me on that!

glennrochemusic he has done some guitar work on I believe their second record. Dunno about the writing part, but I do know NB covers Big Wreck, and are big fans of Ian.

That drummer really reminds me of a former Megadeth drummer but I forget his name & it's not Gar Samuelson,Shawn Drover,Nick Menza he was in the band long.

hmmmm i dont think its a coincidence that all the underrated bands have the best live shows. all these famous bands barely sound good live ian thornley sounds exactly the same as he does on the album. and so does the rest of the band. i didnt know who these guys were for a while. and i started listening to them and theyre right up there with some the best bands ive ever heard

ya dude i agree. its the mainstream. if one single part of the song is catchy its a hit. even if the part is like 30 seconds long. and people will get famous for this 30 second thing that created probably by taking a shit on a piece of paper taking another to wipe, and then putting them together like a sandwich. to the mainstream OH MY GOD ITS GENIUS. best example of this is nikki minaj and all dubstep bands but mostly skrillex

Because the worse you are as a pop artist/song writer, the more MTV and radio stations will put you on air. It's simple!

Ha ha ha, yeah, I agree. I wish he would raise the friggin height of his kit or lower his damn stool. He's a solid drummer but it looks a bit hokey for me.

Big Wreck is an awesome band as well. Very very professional all of them. The drummer is amazing I just wished he would work on his motion. Even though the sounds coming out on the kit are just perfect, it's the visual aspect I wish could be different. At times, it almost looks like an amateur is just goofing around on the drum kit. It's ok to have fun and goof around every now and then but not all through a show.

His name was Ben Park and he's long gone he was only in the band for 2 albums and was a great drummer just never thought he fit BW but the original drummer Forest only played on 2 albums as well but the differences between the two is that Forrest had a swing and groove and heaviness that created that big wreck sound of begin with I always will consider him the drummer for Big Wreck even Chuck is awesome it's never been the same without Forrest in my opinion

Why does the bass player go in front of the guy with the spotlight? Trying way too hard. There is one star in this band.

Ian is the only original member Forrest. Dave Henning, and Brian passed away in 2018 Forrest and Dave were only on the first 2 albums which are the best still to this day Brain was in the band until he passed.

Yeah, I think a rule is that if the singer is not making much movement then don't do any more. Just play the beats, It isn't as hard as it was made to seem. Take the lyrics as seriously as the writer does! Put energy into doing the harmonies, so lacking at the end of this song particularly. When the harmonies are delivered (the high one at the end most importantly) it will obviate priority over the drum part. Also, the snare is muted to the point, of being pointless! It should rock, open it up!
