Absolutely severely underrated band; saw them live in Abbotsford a few years back and was, no pun intended, 'blown wide open'. Amazing band and unfortunately, I was unable to make their concert in this neck of the woods this year. However, next... hopefully!

I wonder if this is the performance of BWO that Ian was referring to in an interview where he said he got all choked up and couldn't sing for a brief moment. That's how it seemed to me. God I love these guys. I've seen them 3 times, will be a total of 5 after this summer is done...... and I'll see them many more times if possible.

36mcltre Lorde is 17, and maybe just beginning her career. I know Ian personally, I've worked with him and still I say lame to this video. Lame because with all his huge amount of talent, he's still too afraid to allow his real artistry out there, something I said to him when they were recording their huge album in my studio. whatever you think of her style and her level of talent, Lorde gives 100% of whatever it is she's got, Ian only gives 90% and relies too much on tradition, that's why I say lame. thanks for checking out my profile like a creeper, have a nice day!

Peter Hoffman I'd venture to guess if you actually knew "Ian personally" you wouldn't actually say negative shit in a public venue... unless of course you're bitter. But like I say, just a guess. LOL ;-P

I am just telling my truth bro.. If I think he's lame who are you to disagree with my personal opinion of with I like and don't like? Ian is a great guitar player, and great singer, but a I think he's lame person and creatively dry.. and I'm sorry for airing my opinions in public, but fuck em.. dude came into my studio, used all my shit, and ripped off my then partner Matt Dematteo the producer of the first (and only good) record record.. that is why Matt never made a second record and why Ian shot himself in the foot because since then all his music has been dry.

I don't think that's entirely what I said. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I hazarded as guess as to why and was mostly being a smartass. That said, if that's what happened, I feel for you bro. You should state that then rather than just call him out as lame. Kinda passive IMO. But like I said, was mostly just trying to be a smartass, get a laugh.. y'know? Life's too short to waste it being pissed about the past. Also my opinion ;) Cheers bud!

Peter Hoffman Besides that you hold a grudge against him, it's just not true what you say about the music and that only the first album was good. The second album "The Pleasure And The Greed" had a bad, yes, "dry" production, so I think, still there were some good songs on it. But hey, "Albatross" and "Ghosts", these two albums are just perfect as they are. There's nothing he could have made better there, he created perfect masterpieces of Melodic Rock, full of emotions and everything. Nothing "dry" there.
