Joe singing tu as un animal brought back memories - I'm a retired Teacher of French and I used to teach it to my pupils. It's lovely seeing you two putting your own stamp on your home.I bought my new build in July 2023 following the death of my partner so am doing the same, although I have to pay for help for some projects. The first thing I did was paint all the walls and ceilings brilliant white as they were a dull off-white colour. The light is amazing and artwork looks very good against the white. I bring in colour with furnishings, soft furnishings and artwork. The cabin is a good idea - luckily you have a good sized garden. Happy New Year to you both.

hey guys - happy new year :) when my wife and I had our first baby (2.5 years ago), we built a log cabin idea in the garden for my office as I WFH a lot too and we live in a 3 bed semi. Really great idea, and works so well. One thing i'd say, is make sure your internet connection is good in the part of the garden you are putting the cabin - i ended up having to get a wifi booster which has done the job. Other thing is buy a good heater for the winter and a good fan for the summer. Log cabins, freezing in winter, boiling in summer! Also build a small deck out front of the cabin and get a nice bench, and some plants.

Next time pop 4 dishwasher tablets in the bath run hot water spray the racks with a degreaser and leave them to soak for a few hours and use a Brillo pad to rub them down .

I always tell new parents to buy a 360 car seat because it will save your back just do not take it to the air port unless they allow you to bring it physically on the plane it will get destroyed in the luggage section same for your pram if you go abroad buy a simple cheap stroller for holidays do not bring your expensive one

Looks like a busy year ahead. I used to have the same loft hatch problem, I could only put the ladder one way, after hitting my head enough times, I removed the side screws for the hatch which lets it drop out, then installed the other way round, now it hangs behind the ladder…. You know if you want another side project, but this one really can wait a year if you don’t use the loft often.

Happy New Year guys! I have to share my hack for oven racks - get the Elbow Grease Oven Cleaning Kit from B&M! It’s literally a bag which you put your racks in, soak in the solution which comes in the kit and in 4 hours it ALL goes. No scrubbing required. It’s so good and satisfying and only costs a few quid. Hope it helps!

Happy new year to one of my favourite couples. Bethan you are glowing and your makeup looks stunning. Tip man Joe 🤣 in my part of Essex we have to book a tip slot on line and at least a 2 week wait. Our tip men are miserable. Guys you have to botch up DIY it’s how you learn. Holes can be filled and painted least you get stuck in and give it a good try. All joes studying will be well worth it and when you move to your family home whenever it happens you can look back on these times and feel proud of what you’ve accomplished. Baby girl is lucky to have such amazing parents. Can’t wait for the log cabin sounds fab. Have a good week xx ❤

We did do a video maybe a year or so ago where we boarded the loft… it is fairly easy just need to be careful not to put your foot through the ceiling haha!

You two have achieved so much since I’ve been watching you I moved into a 2 bedroom house when our daughter was born then we had 2 boys moved to a big 3 bedroom which I’ve lived for 30 yrs now plus my youngest son who is 32 lived here with his girlfriend and new baby for 2 yrs 7 of us living here it was lovely I’m from an Irish family we all love to stay close ☘️. I now have my 39yr old daughter back home plus a 35 yr old son you can never get rid of them 😂.You are going to be wonderful parents can’t wait to meet your little girl ❤xx

@ yeah Breast Cancer is a big one to our family too my mum died from what started as breast cancer 12 years ago now and then 3 years ago another close family member was also diagnosed so love the cause and believe in Joe to smash it 🙌

It was pretty simple, we had to do some boarding in the loft in order for it to have something to sit on up there up it wasn’t difficult!

Also don’t be in a hurry to move weirdly siblings cope well when small sharing rooms I reckon if you have a second baby and your first born is 5 yrs old or older then definitely move house as school aged kids and babies just disturb each others sleep so you definitely have a very big chunk of time to enjoy this family home for at least 4 or 5 years, kids don’t need all the crazy unnecessary stuff people buy , I will say this think about a storage box to put your pram in if you don’t have room indoors
