I have noticed that Big KZbinrs who make Minecraft content all share things in common! They: - Actually aren't very good at the game - Can never seem to come up with any ideas that nobody else has ever done before - All have much of the same editing tricks and styles. - Take too long to do relatively simple things

at 2:45 you can see how dedicated he was to the research, he started on August 1st at 11:25AM and 5 hours later he found the video at 11:16AM. it seems like in this -9 minutes he also took some time to open a google doc named "Can you beat miencraft [sic] in Peaceful" and find the music he was going to use for 2:27, very forward thinking and then at 3:34 he creates a backup of a world that he seems to have last played on July 19th at 11:33AM

To be fair to chief, he did actually create an original story and playthrough the game, plus he's improved since. Shulkercraft stole chief's video and made it even worse.

Yeah, Chief's video might not show good gameplay, but I must admit that it was decently entertaining. As I said, I probably wouldn't have made this video if Shulkercraft didn't make a similar video too

This one isn't out of the ordinary in that. * I don't think I've ever watched a single shulkercraft video so I could be wrong but I've heard years ago from tech/redstone MC channels complaining that their creations were stolen by shulkercraft who only did crappy tutorials of them with no credit and got millions of views.

Shulkercraft are infamous in the technical minecraft community as the worst content thief's to ever create a youtube channel, so it doesn't surprise me that they've tried their hand at stealing speedrun content too.

I've noticed this in other subjects too. These "big" youtubers just need to pump out videos so they don't even bother reaching out to people with more knowledge on the subject they're working on. What could have been a nice positive video looking into a very specific niche and the people behind it instead becomes a formulaic video with a surface level experiment.

I've started to become really disappointed in the direction Minecraft content has been taking for a while, it's really simple to just do basic research and give credit to people that performed ideas before you, but it's easier to just say you came up with it first and get more credit for it. Hell, this isn't even just a Minecraft issue, its an issue with KZbin as it is right now.

As a technical minecrafter I've been aware of Shulkercrafts content theft for years but even I'm amazed they actually went as far as stealing speedrun content. Those guys are second rate redstoners who suck at every other aspect of the game and the fact they were able to convince their audience they knew anything about speedrunning just shows how little their viewers know about the game.

I absolutely agree with this video _regarding the topic of_ stealing video ideas and the specific examples you used. But the thumbnail and title are a little misleading. There are a lot of big Minecraft KZbinrs, and whilst quite a bit of them make samey, generic mush with the same editing and all, there are a lot of other larger KZbinrs who are not only great at the game, but make spectacularly enjoyable videos as well. And if the talk is about actually being amazing at the game, honestly, sometimes I'd much rather see somebody struggle their way through a game than see them 100% complete everything with zero hassle, the former makes for both a much more fun, worthwhile and less monotone experience overall... Unless it's a professional doing an extremely impressive feat, just like how it was in your case.

@@speedycube64 you're in the algorithim right now. You should be seeing a view and subspike. Plus your vid is high quality with good editing and you're entertaining. Anyone who subs right now will likely stick around. Watch other videos and if you upload on a semi consistent basis the algorithim will boost you again. Especially if you release a similar video by next month. Even if you don't it found you once its more likely to spread you around again.

What I want to know is, why did neither of you just play in 1.8? Cleric villagers can trade you the eyes you need if you can trade with them enough, rendering blaze rods and even blaze powder unnecessary. It's almost laughable how much easier it would've been. ...Unless you were doing it for the sake of doing something more challenging, I guess. Edit: I actually didn't know ender eyes were obtainable in trades back then, I only knew they were trades in 1.6 to 1.8. As I like to say, the more you know, the less you brain. That said, it would still probably be better to do it in 1.8 for the sake of convenience. ...Or, y'know, doing it the hard way for the sake of making it harder.

As someone who isn’t a huge fan of Chief or Shulkercraft, your commentary comes across like you’re super bitter their videos did better than yours. You insult them a lot.
