ERROR at 21:07. Inductive impedance should be 50 ohms at an angle of 90 degrees. (NOT 0 degrees)

Question: From what I understand from your lecture, which I enjoyed & learned a lot, when operating a squirrel cage i.m. in the rated mode, could it be analogous to a tuned circuit like in radio communications, is that is why the efficiency at it's best?
@bigbadtech2 жыл бұрын
Not sure if tuning is the right analogy since that's frequency dependent. Honestly I think it just comes down to construction being appropriate (ie: efficient) for that specific sweet spot.

@@bigbadtech Tx for the reply, so maybe it's a sweet spot for the magnetics?
@bigbadtech2 жыл бұрын
Yes, most likely the motor is designed such that it's not drawing excess reactive power at or around the rated condition.

I also wanted to add will you please explain what a Axial Flux Ironless Permanent Mag Motor is, from the EV vid? TX!

At 21:07, reactive resistance of the winding to be not at /_0° but at /_90°.

Good catch. Yes inductive impedance would be 50 ohms at an angle of 90 degrees.
