I would argue with the QUEENS OF KPOP because there's "THE" GIRLS GENERATION but both of them are great. Same with BIGBANG is the KINGS OF KPOP but we have TVXQ as well. In Korea, it seems they have multiple hits for different reasons and times. Their first hit Lies in 2007 was iconic because it was written and produced by G-Dragon. It altered the thinking that idols can make music just not sing, dance, and look pretty. Technically from 2007-2008, they had 4 major hits, which cemented their popularity. They were Lies, Last Farewell, Sunset Glow, and Haru Haru. Then in 2012, came their next wave of hits with Blue and Fantastic Baby. Monster didn't hit #1 but was a moderate hit. Then their 3rd wave of hits of 4 months (Loser, Bae Bae, Bang Bang Bang, If You, and Let's Not Fall in Love) in 2015. Since then they've sporadically released hits that reached #1: 2016 with Fxxk It, 2018 with Flower Road, and lastly 2022 with Still Life. It's an inside jokes among their fans (VIP), that they don't really care about streaming to the MVs, they're busy watching their live/concert performances instead 🤣. A lot of celebrities, actors, fellow idols, athletes, and respected people from different fields went to their concerts as well. 😂 The last time i checked, their dominated the korean karaoke charts with (14 songs-the group with the most song in that chart).
