I know I'm Late to the party (had a crazy busy few weeks) but as for the why of the ”Apple” game it's… fanservice. At least in my opinion. Plus you obviously have to make things sexual someway and since idols can’t even look at someone of the opposite gender too long without wwIII breaking out they have these kind of games instead. And the apple thing’s pretty tame compared to some of the other games they play on variety shows or fanmeets (and sometimes just on stage in concerts). Pepero anyone?

This is a fan made mv but it's my favourite because it has english subs haha.
