It's far older than the TV show. Warner Bros. adapted it from "Warm Kitty" published in 1937 but it's from an old Polish lullaby, with lyrics and music published in the 1800s. See Wikipedia "Soft Kitty"

In german she sings: "weiches Kätzchen, warmes Kätzchen, das nie und nimmer murrt. Liebes Kätzchen, müdes Kätzchen. Schnurr, Schnurr, Schnurr" in english translated: "soft kitty, warm kitty, that never grumble. Lovely Kitty, tired Kitty, purr, purr, purr". The "little Ball of fur" of the original english version would be translated in something like: "kleiner Fellball" which wouldn't go well with the Sound. :) her speaking is a little of, but good enough to understand.

Well, the translation into German is correct. But done word for word. In German I wouldn't use those words. But to be honest I didn't understand everything, so the pronunciation is kinda bad.
