What I think happened is he didn't have his headphones on (the crew repeatedly tell him to put them on during those videos at the time, so it's not outlandish to assume he had no audio) and he has no peripheral vision so didn't notice his hearts draining away.

so i just noticed this with Geoff and the egg massacre, he's constantly crouching which is preventing him from interacting with the egg nest so he just throws them onto the ground. it all makes sense now

this is due to the mechanic that makes shift right clicking on any block in modded minecraft use the item in your right hand every time. unfortunately this is second nature for anyone who plays those packs a lot as you need to access/use an item on a lock at different times, so it doesn’t come up much or isn’t mentioned in tutorials. if only geoff would have noticed this as well
