Thanks a lot for this amazing tutorial! Small question regarding modified Dai Vernon palm, wouldn't it be simpler for the left hand (holding the deck) to lift up the card by pressing with the index rather than with thumbs and middle finger? Is there a downside to doing so?
@BigBlindMedia9 ай бұрын
Hey Florian. Glad you enjoyed the video ^^ You could pull the card up by pressing on the upper side with your index finger, but you would have less control over it. It would also lift up vertically, whereas your right hand naturally comes and picks up the deck at an angle. If you lift it with your thumb and middle finger, it angles it perfectly in the right hand. - Biz

@@BigBlindMedia thanks so much for the valuable reply, much appreciated :) I am already watching more of your other videos! I think I found a solution by using index and thumb to place the card at an angle. For some reasons, thumb/middle finger is a difficult combination for me :) Many thanks again!

Is there a way to palm while not bending the hands? Somehow mine looked obvious when I tried them
@BigBlindMedia5 ай бұрын
Just keep practicing and it will become more natural. Naturalness is a characteristic gained in time, not just by knowing the method. You have to forget you are palming a card and always remember that your audience has no idea what you are doing. I have seen people execute horrible palms and still get awat with it because they were natural about it. - Biz
