Me too but I'm wondering if maybe in certain parts of the city, it's ALWAYS been this way to some extent, even in the past? It's just that back in the old days, there weren't as many people filming the raw streets and putting it on KZbin as there are now. We just had movies, as you said, and the mainstream media showed us what they wanted us to see. To be honest, if they want to, they can make ANY place seem more glamorous than it really is by just selectively filming. Holiday companies do that all the time in their brochures where they just show the parts of a place that make it seem desirable and yet when people actually go there they don't quite get what the brochure showed. It happens often.
