Caldwell makes a light kit that goes on your chronograph that just stops all errors. I didn’t want to spend the 50 us$ so I ordered some clear white LEDs from eBay, 100ct for 5$ and 2 AA battery holders with on/off switches on them and drilled holes about 1/2” apart up the center of the shade and pushed them in the holes, touched with hot melt glue and wired them up. It is a hell of a lot lighter than Caldwells light kit and way cheaper plus quite fun to do. I haven’t had any since completed...not even 1. I’m going to try and put a picture on my Instagram in a day or two so people can share this easy fix and maybe even improve. Really glad your back. Missed your reviews. By the way one pellet that is of very high quality that is overlooked by damn near everyone but ridiculously affordable,7$ for 500 on Amazon and just hammer game 15.4 grain Daisy Hollow Points. I believe-they are the base pellet for the Gamo Red Fire which as you know was Gamos response the the Polymag. Anyway, just thought you might give them a go. .177&.22 same style, wicked fast mushroom and energy dump on game.

one of.my favourite rifles is maUser 99. still arround. designed in 1898. These companies keep redesigning but as you say , sometimes old is better. This pcp is fantastic and simple. Like a good old bicicle.
@aboutthemetal87834 жыл бұрын
That really is a proper farm tool, and just as equally a great first pcp for most adults, the value of the pcps of today is brilliant compared to even ten years ago, basic theoben rapids were about £900:00,i spent a touch under the £1300. On a brand new theoben mfr in 2010, if I had the option of the zobroias or artemis or hatsan etc etc, I would of been able to try the sport for a lot less money and a lot earlier because of that, but I'm glad I did get the mfr, it lead to many excellent Ltd edition daystate and bsa rifles in my collection. A carbine version would be a good seller.

Hey mate, budget rifles have come on leaps and bounds these days which is fantastic for the reasons you've mentioned. The main things the budget rifles suffer with are plain stocks and triggers that can be a smidge on the heavy side. The interesting thing is however that the budget sector does seem to be updated quite a lot and even the triggers on a few of them are fantastic. With some minor adjusting the M22 trigger is a genuinely nice unit and the trigger on the Zbroia's and the new Kral's are superb! A carbined M11 would be a fantastic rifle. Thanks mate!

Re your comment about the trigger, so looks like its the popular copy of the Gamo unit? i had one of these units and fitted a modified custom trigger blade,the creep had gone but after the shot was released the trigger was "floppy" until the gun was recocked,i put this down to the fact that the trigger return spring gets removed to accommodate the new blade and to reduce the pressure, i found it very annoying ,i spoke to the supplier who said this can happen as the return is dependant on a second internal sear spring, i had no confidence in the modded blade so removed it ,i then refitted the original unit but used a 9mm long x 3mm screw in place of the original adjuster screw ,Job done,no creep and everything safe and sound,passed the "bump" test easily, first stage still long but release spot on! Done the same to my current Gamo Hunter 440,nice gun,trigger S***T !!!!!!.
@bigdansairguns834 жыл бұрын
Hi Donald, the M22's use their own trigger as far as I'm aware which is superior to that of the Gamo'esque unit found on the Airacobra. The Gamo Hunter 440's are smart little rifles and they do shoot well but as you've said the trigger can be a bit... naff. They're definitely worth a tune though! Which aftermarket blade did you go for Donald? I've used the Welsh Willy unit and I thought it was superb. Cheers mate.

@bigdansairguns834 жыл бұрын
Hi Saidal, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the M22. If it's new I'd advise taking it back to your dealer as it should still be under warranty. That being said if you wanted to take a look at it yourself it could be a case of a pellet falling into the action and causing a jam. Take the stock off and unscrew the trigger unit and look for a squished pellet on top of the trigger sears. As much as I love the rifle that probe housing is begging to eat a pellet and it's a stupid design. Let me know how you get on mate.

Which rifle did you like more Zbroya Khortytsya or SPA M22? Which one is made better?
@bigdansairguns834 жыл бұрын
Hi mate. That's a difficult question to answer as they're well made but have been designed with different goals in mind. The Hortitsia is the more refined rifle and has a much nicer looking stock. The M22 is chunkier (especially the metalwork) and whilst it's more crude than the Hortitsia they're also ridiculously reliable (I've never had a single failure with an M22). The Zbroias did have a bad batch of rifles last year however the current batch are much better, they do still have a thin cycling arm however which could be an issue if you load the magazines a bit too harshly. That being said it's easier to accidentally have a pellet fall into the action of the M22 compared to the Hortitsia which can be a nuisance. Both are exceptional rifles however if you think the rifle may end up getting abused or is at high risk of getting damaged (if you'd be hunting in the bush for instance) then I'd say the M22 was tougher simply because I wouldn't want to damage the attractive finish on the Hortitsia. Thanks and I hope this helps.

@bigdansairguns834 жыл бұрын
@@АндрійПисарев Hi mate. The Hortitsia is a lovely rifle but that straight pull bolt isn't to everyone's tastes. It's odd that the Sapsan isn't available in the Ukraine yet I wonder why that is? I know that Zbroia is a Ukrainian rifle but are they popular over there? It might be a lack of popularity as to why they'd focus on other markets first as unfair as that may be. Thanks again!
@АндрійПисарев4 жыл бұрын
Zbroya is a Ukrainian manufacturer and is quite popular, it is not clear why the Sapsan is not sold in Ukraine, although for more than a year it has been sold in South Africa, Great Britain, the USA and even in neighboring Poland, and there is no manufacturer in the country, I wrote on Zbroya, they cannot say when and by what price will be sold in Ukraine, it is probably more profitable to sell abroad.@@bigdansairguns83

I’m very new to the world of high grade air guns (previous experience of Daisy’s and the like as a kid), what is a PCP rifle? Are these lethal or good for hunting? Is there such a thing as pest animal control gun (non lethal)? There doesn’t seem to be much info online it seems those who came into this club were ordained at birth or have divine insight the rest of us aren’t privy to - I could be wrong I’ve only been researching for 10 minutes.
@bigdansairguns832 жыл бұрын
Hi Flymachine! A "PCP" or Pre-charged pneumatic rifle is an air rifle that instead of using a spring or CO2 to propel the pellet it uses compressed air instead. Most PCP's are excellent for hunting as they're incredibly easy to shoot due to the lack of any noticeable recoil and most of them also offer multi-shot capability. In regards to power most PCP's are "full power" ranging from 10.5-11+ft-lbs which is more than enough for hunting. That said some smaller or cheaper rifles can run at slightly lower power but these are few and far between. The only thing to bear in mind with a PCP is that you'll also need something to fill it either a pump, divers bottle or an airgun compressor (it needs to be an airgun specific compressor due to the very high pressure outputs required). Thanks Flymachine and I hope this helps, if you ever have any other questions never hesitate to get in touch with us here or on bigdansairguns.co.uk via the contact us section.

Hi Arkan, I do understand where you're coming from and we will refine the reviews a bit more however it's hard to keep the run time down considering the testing that most of our viewers like us doing. We'll hopefully figure out a happy medium for both types of viewer next time.

Not impressed, especially with the mags, thank you for the review, I'll avoid this rifle.

Hey Busby! The mags are fiddly and you definitely need to seat the pellets. That said you can get far better 3d printed mags which are much much easier to load.

Hi, I have Artemis P15 and loving it. What is the difference between M11 and M22? What is the FPS? Oh, for the .22.
