Learning a lot from you, one thing I have been taught all my life is that as individuals we really have no limits and multiple people working together makes that so much more infinitely true. You have proven this very well. That skull for first time run is excellent!

it was only $14 to send all that chain, i work on forklifts for a living so all that chain is new cut offs. can't wait to see what you do with it. the other piece is part of a cutting blade for an excavator. and i love the skull, very cool
@philipprigmore87237 жыл бұрын
Hey, if you have any more of that cut off, and want to send some to a poor old timer in Ohio, let me know and I will provide you with my address. I can definitely afford the postage, but that's about all I can do. Sorry, but I am retired and living on a very fixed income.

i can get as much as you want "within reason lol" but i like to trade for other stuff. what do you have to trade?

Not really sure. Hadn't thought about that. I do have some excellent walnut 12" x 2" square blanks and a couple of cherry of the same dimension. Will have to think about it.Thanks for the quick response.

Great video! I've always wondered how patterns like this were made. 25+ years ago when I was making stock removal knives I met Steve Schwartz (sp) or maybe Schwartzer(sp) can't remember, at a local rendezvous and he showed me a pattern welded folder he had made with the American Flag in the blade. I've wondered to this day how he might have done it. Bought me a Peter Wright anvil on Friday marked 1 2 17, and as soon as I can get up some scrap metal I'm going to start forging some tongs, hammers, and building a power hammer like yours.
@BIGDOGFORGE7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the information on finishing blades with the Brass mandrel that sounds like a great idea I will give it a try. Sounds like you got a good deal on an anvil . It's always good to hear someone is jumping in or jumping back into the craft. Thank you for all the comments I do appreciate to keep the great ideas coming. And thanks again for watching take care.
