This is definitely still snitching. Anything more than a prepared statement with your alibi and no comment to every question they ask is talking to police. Also, the entire time youre on bail, they would have verified with the murder feds if you were cooperating with them or not. So for it to even still be a defence by the trial it's probably true and even if it ain't, you offered to cooperate with police. You had that conversation whether it was a lie or not...
