You can also make it into an infinite loop. You can either go from the middle position (4:14) between ring and middle, grab behind the handle with pointer finger and spin it around again between pointer and middle, which will get you back to the middle position between ring and middle. Then you can put your pinky in front of the handle and roll it around the pinky and ring finger which again will bring you back to the middle position, then just repeat ad nauseam. Alternately you could go all the way to the thumb and pointer position at 7:09, put your middle finger behind the handle, roll it between the pointer and middle finger and it will get you back to the middle position and then continue as above.

how you describe teaching this move around 0:50 reminds me of something my dad would always tell me and my sister when growing up "slow is smooth smooth is fast" it's more important when learning to do something slowly and get it right or "smoothly" than it is to get it going fast as speed will come with practice and when practicing its more important to practice something right than fast

Every single day I love my benchmade 87 more and more. Its so perfectly designed and it has those "humps" on handles that help a lot with all the twirly tricks including this one. Its just way easier to pinch with pinky and ring finger. Have you ever flipped 87 @BigFlips? I mean its probably one of the most expensive balisongs but its definitely worth the money! Also luv your vids mate and keep up the great work.

One thing that might help people grasp this is that this trick is exactly the same as a drum stick roll. You can ignore the rest of the knife really as you're just twirling the safe handle and nothing else

check the jacobs ladder tut in the description. you probably just need to strengthen your fingers. you have to pinch really hard, and your knife cant be too slippery. you can also put rubbing alcohol on the end of the safe handle to remove grease if its really slippy. i think some people even use baby powder on their fingers to increase grip but ive never done that.
