There's something about this design that is just timeless. Even though it's 28 years old, it doesn't feel that way at all.

That is not how #11 raced, this is it being tested right out of the box. Look for KZbin video 1993 PENDA Monster Truck Challenge Lima, OH Race 1 and you can see the real difference.

As another guy said, it's crazy how this truck is 30 years old and yet still looks like it could be a mid-pack truck at modern Monster Jam events, if not outright win.

That is not how #11 raced, check out this KZbin video "1994 Team BIGFOOT Racing Highlights - BIGFOOT 4x4, Inc." You will see just how high the rear of the truck sat.You can also see this of the 1993 wheelie run that the truck did. In this video the truck is brand new and being tested....looks like their not running as much nitrogen in the rear shocks because the body comes close to touching the rear tires while in motion.

The low stance of #11 makes it look good. This truck looks like it handles so smoothly.
@dragonfly4924 жыл бұрын
This is only at this testing, the truck is brand new.During the Penda race series in 93 and 94 Brass had the rear shocks almost fully extended which gave the truck a mean bad ass leaning look. It was no sitting low in the rear.
@waynenorbreyjr93714 жыл бұрын
@@dragonfly492 Ohhh yeah, cause I remember when I first seen it at Lima, Ohio the truck didn't sit low like this. Even the front shocks had more of the shock shafts extended.

I'd like to see footage of Bigfoot #14 test. I remember Dan saying things about when he tested it back then, but I'm sure Bigfoot has footage somewhere of it. Especially being that #14 was the 1st truck of the Bigfoot stage 3 trucks to utilize the long shocks on the rear instead of the cantilevers like #'s 8,9,10, &12.

I really wish something like the penda points series would make a comeback. Don't get me wrong, some of the things the are doing with trucks now are amazing, but it also shows an ignorance for engineering. Seeing how long you can stand a truck on it's nose has destroyed more motors in recent years than we all care to talk about. Not to mention the fact that this right here is what I grew up on. Actual racing...

Now that Bigfoot #10 has a new home in Pacific, Missouri and Bigfoot #8 is currently undergoing a refresh it would be cool to see Bigfoot #11 back in it's original form. The only question would be if the 1993 body style that was ran was able to be reproduced. It was really be cool to see the original Wildfoot name and paint scheme return. Plus, we don't even know if Bigfoot kept the Cantilevers that was on the rear. I wonder how bad was the chassis damaged on #11? I still have copies of when Bigfoot 11 aka Wildfoot was in Peterson's 4 Wheel Drive magazine.

Man u could clearly see that no. 11 was faster and lighter than the high tech bigfoot 8 a few years earlier. U can really see the progress 💪.
@nathanmcdonald610 Жыл бұрын
I honestly believe that the fastest monster trucks as whole have ever been was the mid/late 1990s, during the PENDA/TNT/TNN era of racing. They were lighter "in some cases under 10Klbs", totally engineered for racing and making as much power as the contemporary trucks of today do. Modern monster trucks have gone back up in weight, in some cases as much 13,000lbs or more which rivals the old leaf sprung trucks of the 1980's, but todays monster trucks are built as all arounders. With the added emphasis on long freestyle sessions the extra durability is needed for doing wild stunts like backflips and stuff, but they trade off some of the raw speed for that added durability. I do miss when these were primarily racing machines though.

@waynenorbreyjr93714 жыл бұрын
It's tough to say which one was the baddest cause #8-16 were some awesome trucks. Bigfoot 11 and 14 have been 2 of my favorites. I can only imagine what other designs Bob Chandler had up his sleeve and on his computer. Really wished that the Penda style series had stayed around even if it was under a different sponsor's name.

@dragonfly4924 жыл бұрын
Of the race trucks....Bigfoot 8 is only used as a display or training truck. #9 was lost in customs in Brazil a many years ago and has never been recovered. #10,11and16 were all retired due to some very bad crashes a few years ago, though #10's completely striped chassis was seen recently being used to test fit a new 70tys model body. #14, 15, 18,19 and 21are all still running. #17 owned by Nigel Morris and raced solely in Europe was sold and is currently running as "Sheriff" in Spain. And they still have #1,5 and 20. #2,3,4,6,7,Shuttle, Ranger and Fastrax were all sold off.

Why is there a squealing noise coming from #10?
@garrettott60444 жыл бұрын
#10 had mufflers than ran through the chassis. The squealing noise is the whine from the supercharger. You’re able to hear it in 10 because of the mufflers, just like #8.
@shawnconder49844 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe a different style supercharger? But 10 also doesn't have that slope at idle that 11 does. Makes 11 sound meaner
@wellthatsjustpeachy904 жыл бұрын
@Monsterjambrony its bc both of these trucks have a super charger on them that was specific to that particular motor make if I'm not mistaken, and down to the way they have them set up motor wise, monster jam trucks have a total different set up. Thankfully bigfoot got out of what is now called MJ before it went to the screw show it is now.
