Yes; I have heard one encounter story of Sasquatch using fire. I don’t remember whose channel it was, but it was about 18 months to 2 years ago and the encounter was based in a forested area in Alaska. The author of the story was a young adult male Winter camping, who had gone early to set up camp before his friends arrived. There was knee-high snow and the area had ravines and ridges. After setting up camp, he went for a snowshoe hike. While he was hiking, he noticed a large campfire in the distance. Thinking it may be his friends, he climbed up a small rise to meet up with them. Too late he realized he had walked up on 2 Sasquatch. I don’t remember much more detail, except he took off back down the ravine, thinking that he knew he would be in danger if he lost his footing. He tried going unnoticed, but soon realized the Sasquatch was aware of him as he heard one of them scream. By the time he got back to his camp, his friends were there and noticed his disturbed state. I don’t remember what happened next. Somehow they got out safely riding 4-wheelers, I believe. Anyway… that’s what I remember and it’s the only encounter story about Sasquatch and fire that I recall hearing. Have a great Fall season everyone. Stay safe out there.

Hi, Yes I have heard a story about the Sasquatch using fire. In the story I heard a Native American said to another person that the reason their ancestors knew how to make fire is from the Sasquatch teaching them.

4:28 Well I had a situation in which I was compelled to say thank you, too. 8 years later I simply returned to the area and said in my mind, “if you are still here, I know who you are. And I came to say thank you for saving me that day.” I got a response, and I have been conversing with him ever since.

Jodie, do you have stories to share with us? Could you send in the story of ‘that day’ when you were saved by a Sasquatch? That would be amazing to listen to.

Yes I have heard stories of them using fire about a hundred years ago and they stopped because they were being hunted and the fire gave them away. These stories are documented in the book “BIGFOOT HAIRY MEN AND GIANTS.” By David Paulides.

A KZbinr saw his put out fire being fully alight one night when he was woken up at night terrified by growl and touching of his small tent (he was alone on a very remote island off Australian coast where nobody goss as it’s difficult to get to). He never makes videos of paranormal, bigfoots. This is in Australia where Bigfoot’s are called Yowies, Check it out on “Back 2 Basic Adventures” and it’s called “surviving 24 hours on Skull island). He was terrified. I would have been too. He doesn’t mention Bigfoot’s / yowie as I don’t think he wants to talk about them. Maybe he’s suoerstitstiius as he’s said he’s seen many strange thungs on his travels which I can attest to myself out in the water, I hope he’s not scared of being ridiculed. Almks5 everyine sees what it is. A tall man. The light patch we see when it runs away is the creatures ass. He did says ghostly or the like. I think its one juvenile hunched right next to his tent. When he wakes up, when his headlamp hits above his tent, down to the water, we see a silhouette of a massive figure which is at least two heads taller than him... and there’s no tree there, only sand. Just goes to show “how do they get there”.. ? Do they live there? Portals? Orbs? What do you all think? if you’re interested in awesome fishing and wildlife on the islands, barrier reef, follow “Strick and Fran” (crocodiles, sharks, spear fishing, living off the land - no paranormal content but absolutely amazing videos)

I'd not be surprised that at least some of these creatures have learned how to make fire. Probably from closing observing humans doing so. Thanks to both contributors for their stories and thank you as always to Nance for bringing us all of these stories.

yes a man in Nepal once saw yeti trying to make fire and aboriginal in Yukon say they are able to make fire ( the medicine man amongst them ) but rarely do. Usually against the cold and they do use the sparking of rocks technique. there is one story of a fire being near a sasquach cave. one story of sasquach squating near a human campfire while campers there. but also story of them viewing fire as something dangerous and to avoid.

A set of hunters decided on Alaska for an adventure vacation together. Kayak Fishing was the fantasy. Some were kayakers. One was not. He was determined to keep up. He hooked a sturgeon early. It drug him up a tributary , with him losing his paddles. He was soaked from the splashing. His frinds left far behind. He was slowly stiffening from freezing. Losing motion. Fearing the end soon. Passing near the edge of the stream, a teenager sasquatch waded into thecstream to drag he , the kayak, and fish to shore. 2 adults were there. They built a fire. He began to revive. They waited with him. He pulled out his knife with all the toys in it, to show the teenager. It loved it, was fascinated. Dude gifted the knife to him, the one who saved him. Finally his friends came into view. They had found the lost paddle. When they were near enough the squatch got ready and left. The saving one went and split the sturgeon with his thumbnail, took half. This is normal. No such thing as gifting life saving. Normal is to take an equivalent food offering of their choice. Another one saved a family blocked in their cyclone shelter. He had to fetch help , because the tree was too big. He took the fattened hog. This is normal.

Actually yes I have heard of a few stories of them making fire and to help them stay warm during harsh winters and on occasion cooking food they eat both raw and cooked food but remember there are different kinds of them and they think differently then we do our ancestors made and used fire so why is it so hard to believe that another intelligent species can use it too
@bobkelly2447Ай бұрын
Using fire .... just makes sense to me...any humanoid critter smart enough to see sparks from rocks would figure it out... but there has to be a need for it... and when your used to eating your kill raw and uncooked that would just get in the way and slow you down. but having the knowledge to use it for what ever, is a game changer. i believe sasquatch is a descendant of neanderthal , who was built to walk more than we were, the plaster casts of his tracks prove that. he's the epitome of the classic cave man but is so adjal and stealthy that he needs no tools so to speak... and just prefers to use found objects as such. I seriously doubt all sasquatch have this knowledge as it is usually a taught skill, like this man observed... the big bigfoot was teaching the smaller one how to make a fire. a good skill to have even for a sasquatch....it might be something you never use, but you should know how to do it. so like any father he teaches the skill to his son. thank you Nance and thanks to the submitter !

Our distant ancestors used fire for over the last 1 million years dating back to Homo Erectus use of fire for cooking about 1 million years ago. To evolve a large brain man needed to reduce the caloric needs of other organs. One big part of that evolution to a larger brain was the use of fire for cooking allowing our ancestor species to have a far simpler and shorter digestive track, since food was broken in cooking causing a far simpler task for our digestive system. I would expect all descendants in Homo to have mastered fire, especially if they developed larger brains as they evolved. Our more distant relatives that don't use fire have much much smaller brains. I think people say bigfoot has a large brain similar to humans so they would be expected to use fire. Many First Nations tribes describe the hairy man of the woods as having used fire.

Yes to bigfoot/sasquatch using fire. I know where there is a huge stone chair always covered with the ends of small pine branches in back of a huge stone fire ring. The fire burned is always entire trees. There is a view across the lake from the chair. The seat is my shoulder height, so 4 ft. I hate to think what they are cooking on a fire that is 20 ft long. Huh. Humans?
@LOOOVEITАй бұрын
I'm not at all surprised they can use fire. I think the issue is the false assumption, by the marine, that sasquatch is of a lesser intelligence than modern humans. Most who know well of sasquatch are aware of their superior 'intelligence'.

Even if the could? I seriously doubt they would, fire can be VERY dangerous and humans used to die from fire related accident/injury pretty often just a few centuries ago. Being covered in hair/fur would make it even more risky.
